The Wine Circle remains consistent in organising the monthly events and promotions for their Members - albeit many of them now going virtual.

RED AND WHITE EVENT

For August, it was the Red and White event to celebrate the Singapore National Day. The Wine Circle Members were offered two glasses of house pour wines complimentary on two successive Fridays. While the first Friday was a buy one, get one free offer, the next one it was straight two free drinks. Many Members were seen enjoying their complimentary drinks. The total value delivered to the Members was around SGD 35 through this celebration.

“CHALLENGING THE CLASSICS” VIRTUAL EVENT

For September, the Wine Circle organised a virtual event for its members titled ‘Challenging the Classics’. Most wine lovers remain confined to the well-known French regions of Bordeaux and Burgund. At the event, the presenter Maria Kropyvianska, holder of a WSET Level 3 award, shared several wines which were as good as their better known cousins, but much lighter on the pocket. Maria, who grew up in Spain, shared that she has drunk wine each day of her life since she was 14 except for the nine months of her pregnancy. She made the virtual blind tasting event extremely eventful with the use of Zoom breakout rooms. One could witness some animated discussions & debates about the aroma and flavours of the wines that the attendees had just tasted. Each Member was home delivered six tasting sample bottles of wine (each with 90ml and with Argon pumped in) along with a cheese hamper. The total value of the package was around SGD 70 which was made available to the Members at a price of just SGD 20!

WINE CIRCLE LAPEL PIN

To create a distinct brand identity for the Wine Circle, the Committee has got designed lapel pins and each Member is being offered one pin complimentary. If you too wish to strut around the club getting some envious looks from fellow Members, please do reach out to Ms. Cassie Wong to join the Wine Circle!
