As we continue on the roller coaster ride reading daily advisories on rising cases and over-stretched health facilities, we struggle to remain upbeat. Our Club remains a haven during this time for Members to meet in relative safety. The Darts Section Committee has been actively trying to get our Section nights going whenever it has been safe and prudent to do so (subject to government rules) on second Monday of each month. We will add a second session each month to accommodate groups of 10. The Annual Pot Games is a major sporting event in the calendar, with the Tanglin Club as the hosts this year. However due to the latest government restrictions, this event has been postponed. The Section has also given out a $40 F&B voucher to all who attend the monthly darts sessions which they hold under strict adherence to social distancing measures. Those who attend get a $20 F&B voucher per session limited to two sessions per Darts Member (total entitlement therefore is $40 each Member). For those who have not taken advantage of this are encouraged to do so as and when the games are held. The Darts Section Committee will be refunding up to one year’s Section subs by way of F&B vouchers. It is hoped that you will continue to support the Section through this difficult time as we deal with the fallout from the pandemic. Every year end, the Darts Section has a great sell-out Christmas party; this year we cannot organise such a gathering but do look out for news on a possible virtual event for all Section Members, their families and friends. Good news ahead and we hope to end off the year with a positive note. Please look out for further announcements in our WhatsApp group. Stay safe and hope to see you soon at the Club. On behalf of Darts Section Committee, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
