Gary Piacentini is a graduate of Benedictine’s Class of 1973. He and his classmates recently celebrated their 50th reunion at CapCenter’s headquarters in Richmond, VA. Gary founded CapCenter in 1997 with a passion to build a mortgage and realty company that treats its borrowers as “clients” rather than just customers with the goal of delivering the highest levels of integrity in every customer, employee, and business partner interaction. Gary currently serves as company CEO and remains very involved in CapCenter’s day-to-day operations.
A graduate of the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law, Gary was a practicing attorney for over 20 years prior to starting CapCenter. In his early years as an attorney, Gary served as a law clerk for the Honorable Walter E. Hoffman, District Judge for Eastern District of Virginia, where he drafted opinions for various federal courts of appeals and for the Supreme Court of the United States. He currently serves on the Richmond Law Advisory Board.
Prior to law school, Gary was employed by KPMG Peat Marwick as a Certified Public Accountant. Gary earned a B.S. in accounting from the University of Virginia. Gary and his wife Margaret enjoy splitting time between Richmond and Virginia Beach, and their six grandchildren keep them very active.
