Net-Zero Energy Residential Complex with Vertical Farm
Location: Marquette, Michigan
Course: Design Studio III
This residential complex integrates sustainable living withvertical farms to provide energy ef昀椀ciency, food security, and environmental care.
The project’s goal is to create a net-zero energy building using mass timber as the primary construction material, aligning with principles of sustainability and innovation.
This complex consists of nine units, each with direct access to a shared vertical farm via their basements. Additionally, each unit includes dedicated parking spaces conveniently located within its basement.
Each residential unit adopts a triangular form, optimizing space ef昀椀ciency by utilizing corners for storage and aligning the layout with the building’s main lines to eliminate unusable areas.

FACULTY of ART
Location: Ahvaz, Iran
This faculty was designed for the University of Ahvaz, which did not have an art faculty. The key to human perception is art, and the eye plays a vital role in enhancing understanding. So I got an idea from the human eye for initial design.
Zarbanaye Jonoub Company
THE IDEA OF THE DESIGN
The local and old housing style is a central courtyard where air will circulate due to the warm weather in this area. Furthermore all parts of the building benefit from natural light from doing this.
USING NATURAL LIGHT DURING THE DAY HOURS
BIRD VIEW OF THE FACULTY
The library and classrooms were separated by the division of the building's volumes and adequate space were provided for movement and Interaction.
THE DESIGN PROCESS OF ENTRANCE OF FACULTY
Design a unique entrance for the faculty which distinguish that from the other faculties

Trees For Puri昀椀ng
In designing the plans of this complex, An effort was made to divide the private rooms of each unit from the public spaces by using a wall. The size of the units on 昀氀oors 5 and 6 are greater than the other 昀氀oors .
trees has been utilized because of the hot climate of this region around the complex, which in addition to purifying the air, prohibits direct sunshine from entering the building.
VIEW OF THE COMPLEX 3D
A road, which is both a suitable place for walking and the light needed by the units, divides the volume of this complex into two sections.
Grass and trees were used on the roof of this complex, which has a wonderful impact on keeping the air friendly, and it is an appropriate spot for the people to have enjoyment in addition to being stunning.

VIEWS OF THE VILLA
The design of the house's roof is taken from the kite, which has given the villa an unique dynamic, and its shape makes it possible for the wind to pass through it and does not cause the roof to collapse and fall off during strong wind. All year round, the prevailing winds in this region are blown from the north and northwest, and the position of the villa takes into account this problem.
