Since before I could remember I have had a secret love affair with art.. I never truly realized how much it was going to impact me, until it up and walked out of my life; with it taking my creativity, inspiration, and confidence. Until I realized I AM ART! Now I use my talents to speak for myself, using my talents not only to overcome my struggles but help others! I am here to live art loud. I will not live forever but my art will!

During these years she was also active in the field of copper engraving (etching, aquatint, and drypoint), and she produced a series of nineteen works inspired by the poems of A. Palazzeschi and ten others inspired by poems by A. Zanzotto. She has consolidated her career as an artist with a series of exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. Since 1996 she has been working with Anna Canali, director of Arte Struktura (Centro Internazionale d’Arte Contemporanea) in Milano. Elisa Cristiano’s artworks in a poetic interpretation by Maria Rosa Piromalli. The beauty of seduction is intriguing protagonist of Elisa’s works. Femininity, sensuality, passion. Everything is immersed in an almost decadent atmosphere, and the characters on stage play the roles decided by the artist. Young women in love situations or caught in the moment of waiting. Sensuality is expressed in a refined manner that doesn’t disdain the game, a game that delights and charms, estranging the mind. Elisa Cristiano’s works are stylish, colourful and fun. Their particular freshness allows you to place them at all times, now support of a literature of love, now delight for the eyes and the mind.

Angelo De Francisco was born in Milan in 1951, where he lives and works today; he achieved both classic and art degrees and then moved on to attend the Art Academy of Brera. Since 1968 he has expressed himself through painting and drawing, using materials like wood, plastic, enamel and oils, he also experiments with sculpture and non-fiction writing. Many of his art exhibitions from the 80’s attest to these explorations. However since 2000, he feels that painting has lost its ability to allow him to fully express his inner self; therefore the digital camera, scanner and imaging software have taken the place of his paintbrush. Even photography, very early on, seemed to him a medium too static and rigid to capture continuous variations of form and colour that follow one after the other, like frames of a filmstrip - hence, it was just a short step from image to video. Music and words, in these videos, play an important role as the artist himself composes them through meditation and a digital piano. In 2008, on the occasion of the Olympics, the Chinese Olympic Committee commissioned from him a large-scale work on sport, which will be on display in several international museums before being ultimately placed in the Beijing Art Museum.

Rinaldo Degradi began an exciting adventure of discovery, back in the seventies. His tenacious and determined outlook, combined with a thirst for knowledge have lead him to acquire a detailed technical and cultural background to his work. His sculptures, initially with a purely figurative nature, started to evolve along with the mastery of traditional techniques. He incorporates raku pottery and bronze, and the outcome is fascinating and full of surprises. At the dawn of the new millennium, Degradi moved on to abstract sculpture and with a newborn passion he created a series of works, mainly made of steel. His work aims to achieve a higher proportional equilibrium, based on the gold standard. His surfaces are embellished with corrosion, sandblast, glaze patinas of transparent materials as well as specialised enamels.

She Trained as a specialist Painter in faux effects. 1982 For many years I’ve been fascinated by art and design and its history and development to the present day. I began my own journey of creative self discovery, having been inspired by the works of well-known and lesser known artists and designers. I work in various styles and materials, using a wide variety of techniques. This has resulted in many works of art that are intended to express and evoke our emotions. I worked for many years as a specialist decorator using oils to immitate many different marble and granite effects...Whilst working on the restoration of old buildings and houses, I also took on lots of Mural work, I have always loved the boldness and large scale of wall Murals‌I incorporated hand painted and decorated furniture along with my work. Then as I turned my brushes to canvas the love affair began. My work is inspired to be uplifting with a hint of humour. I love to use colour and enjoy bringing out the boldness and depth of colour. My characters are often quirky, I love the exaggerated longness of the models on my Catwalk Collection.

Loredana is a self taught London based Italian artist working principally in oils on canvas. She paints mainly on commission, though recently she decided to expand her reach. As a consequence Loredana was a selected finalist to participate in the 2013 International Art Competition organized by the Taiwan International Contemporary Arts Association. Loredana is inspired by the land of her birth. Italian seascapes and landscapes feature in many of her works though over the years the English countryside has began to appear in her paintings. Scenes of everyday life are of particular prominence in her paintings. Loredana’s emphasis is on the use of vibrant colours to successfully bring out an expressiveness of interior feelings and emotions.

Teclah Muropa is a self taught artist and over the years has worked with different types of media until she eventually fell in love with acrylic and oil. I use a lot of colour in my paintings because of the african themes I like to incorporate. I have an Art and Design certificate. I showcased my work on the 13 of April in Birmingham and it was a great success, the exhibition was my proudest achievement.

Antonia studied photography in Kent (’93 - ’95) then printmaking at Somerset College of Art & Design. She went on to Slade in London for a course in painting and then spent the next six years deep in the heart of Somerset, where she painted passionately. Her work is dedicated to her love of wildlife and the countryside. In 2001 Antonia moved her studio to Southern Spain where she lived on a self-sufficient small-holding. This allowed her the time to learn her lessons, to paint freely and perfect her own style of painting. Her dreamlike pictures reflect her diverse lifestyle and her vivid appreciation of colour and light, owing a lot to her early years spent in Oman and her extensive travels since. Antonia now has her main studio in London and has exhibited her work most recently at Somerset Arts Week, at the Penzance Arts Club and the Anita Gallery in Shoreditch, London. She has recently spent some time painting in Norway and her next major exhibition in Oslo, will show her impressions of this beautiful, rugged coastline and the beloved Norwegian flag. Antonia also illustrates and photographs for Patricia Lim’s successful series of books published by the Oxford University Press, which include “Hong Kong’s Cultural Heritage - The New Territories” and “Hong Kong & Kowloon”. Her work has been featured in the business magazine “going Public” in addition to several national newspapers.

My fascination with cultures has been evolving since I was born the product of a Bajan mother and an Englishman for a father who were adamant that I should know where I came from, leading to frequent trips to the Caribbean and the South of England to visit family who increasingly embodied the cultural idiosyncrasies that were to inform those worlds to me as a child, and crystallize my fascination with all cultures as an adult. I read Fine Art at the University of Brighton and graduated from Goldsmiths College with an MA in Postcolonial Studies awarded with distinction. Throughout my MA I was project managing an exhibition for the Brighton and Hove Council, featuring Frank Bowling RA CBE and I as exhibiting artists. My work as a practicing artist produces visual fictions via sculptural installations as seen in the recent work produced for the “Skettle & the Bad John project that was shortlisted for the Sky Arts Futures Funds Prize 2012. These fictions vocalize my research in visual anthropology, mythography, folklore and ritual and the performance of these practices within contemporary society, along with my interest to confront and create space for debate and action in response to the social and political issues in the world today.

Julia Maria Strohmeier discovered her passion for landscape painting during her studies at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. For her, the four elements Fire, Earth, Water and Light are not only the fundamental base of all human beings but also the source of inspiration for her work. In 2007, when she spent several weeks in the jungles of Peru and Bolivia, the idea of using three-dimensional formats for her paintings was born. Due to the concave and convex shapes, her motives become alive. Depending on the location of the viewer, her paintings keep revealing new hidden details and objects. The young artist has been attracting attention with various exhibitions as well as with contractwork, where the client’s personal wishes are crucial. The client’s choice of the final location of her art is a major criteria in her working process, as the frame and the format are specifically designed and concstructed in order to perfectly fit in, considering the individual surroundings.

Angelene Tulett is a visual artist based in Toronto, Canada, who has been on a journey to unite her love of painting with her affinity for teaching. She received her Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing & Painting at the Ontario College of Art & Design. She has exhibited her works in solo, group shows and festivals throughout the Greater Toronto Area, Campbell River, BC, Halifax, NS, and Naples, FLA. During her time immersed in her community as an art instructor, mentor and artist, she began designing and administering numerous arts and crafts programs and workshops for the youth in Toronto. She has traveled extensively throughout Canada, U.S.A, Europe, Mexico, Central America and Africa, connecting with people and studying the cultural aspects that make us unique. As a visual artist, Tulett surrenders her canvases to daring palettes and eclectic artistic genres. Her work can be recognized by her distinctive, bold palettes and the tendency to synthesize realist and surrealist qualities in her portraits and landscapes. More recently, her new body of abstracts can be felt as the embodiment of colour therapy when seen collectively. Their overwhelmingly bright, textured and playful tonalities are marked with patches of gold leaf, bringing shifting surprises in varying light.

With the participation of

Alexandra Arshanskaya Alexandra Arshanskaya is a visual artist working on different media including painting, drawing and performances. Her art works are devoted to spatial perception. Alexandra’s art practice began as a broad exploration of representations of space, such as architecture, perspective, urban landscapes, vanishing points, surfaces, and intersections. In her paintings and drawings she conveys a strong sense of depth and space, employing the interplay of light and shadow, and illusions of perspective and infinity. Spatial perception, however, is intimately connected with the active exploration of space through movement over time. Just as a dancer crosses a stage following the rhythm of scored music, so, too, does a viewer’s gaze dance across the surface of an image according to its own particular rhythm. In an effort to address this aspect of experience and to connect these modes of expression more directly, Alexandra recently expanded her practice into an investigation of painting and drawing as a live performance. Alexandra Arshanskaya is performing a LIVE DRAWING SHOW with musical background, during the Vibe Affordable opening night on the 13th June.
