A Message from Mariko

D

ear Global Lancer Family and friends,

I just returned home after traveling overseas on business for 5 weeks. President/Principal Matthew Mohs, and Director of Finance Rommel Buenafe also traveled with me and together, we met with alumni, their families, current students’ families, volunteers, partner agents, and schools. We also made new business connections and recruited new international students. This was a long trip but very productive and important, especially to reconnect with our global Lancer Families and supporting members after a long pause due to COVID-19. Our country coordinators, Esther in Korea, Paul in the Philippines, Christine in Vietnam, and Sik in Thailand, assisted to make this trip successful. We managed recruiting fairs, school seminars, admission interviews, individual meetings with new and existing

student parents, global Lancer family gatherings, and visits with our partner agents and schools. We covered territories including Germany, the Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, and Taiwan. This was the first trip for Mr. Mohs to Asia and also his first international business travel for the school. By visiting the countries and meeting with families and partner agents, he gained an understanding of the importance of supporting international families and working with partners, and how to keep our school attractive and competitive in the global market. In this edition, we showcase our activities on this trip and our global Lancer Families and friends. We also include our school activities, IE students, and new updates. We sincerely thank you for your continuous support and trust in our education. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Mariko Fujiwara Director, Office of International Education

D

onating to the International Student Scholarship Fund is a direct way to allow a student in need to have an opportunity to access education that

they might not experience otherwise, as well as obtain real-world skills and hands-on international experience by living abroad. We encourage everyone to consider the impact that a scholarship fund could make in the life of an international student. Scholarship funding is truly a gift that keeps on giving for years to come. y name is Long and I am in 11th grade. I have been studying here for three months, and I am loving the experience so far. By speaking English every day, my skills are rapidly improving. I heard about Kennedy Catholic High School through one of my childhood friends. When I told my mom about my decision, she immediately asked my friend’s parents about good U.S. schools and they suggested Kennedy Catholic right away. READ MORE >>
