SUNYATA ECO HOTEL

Sustainable hospitality/Chikmangaluru, India (2022)

The project was a study of the entire site and interior re-fit. We had to chose a suite with terrace for redesign to enrich their guests experience keeping in mind the original construction principles of the hotel. The structure is designed considering bioclimatic principles. The design has been done keeping in mind the structural, climatological, and material qualities of the site and context. The hotel is designed and built to demonstrate how a building in an urban scenario on an optimal site size can be a sustainable and eco-friendly.

THE RIPARIAN HOUSE

Nodal Office: Live/Workspace

(2022)

The site is in Karjat in Raigad district, designed by Mumbai-based firm Architecture BRIO. It was originally built as a weekend retreat for a family, but they now seek to convert it into a nodal office for an international think-tank working in development, requiring the complete redesign of its interiors to be an office space with some minimum provision for living activities. The living-dining room, master bedroom, and deck to be converted to an open office space, meeting room and outdoor lounge-work space respectively.

11

The Riparian House is placed just below the top of a hillock at the foothills of the Ghats. The top of a vegetated roof merges with the top of the hillock, hiding the house while approaching. Inside the house, one can enjoy the views to the north of the Irshalgad hill fortress and towards the west the sunset while the river winds its way across the agricultural fields.

The furniture used were of contemporary style and it has a little touch of patterns which gives minimal and homely vibes.

The brief of the project is to write a story the last time, I travelled on a long journey in 250 words. Then we had to make hand sketches showing the experiences, and memories of the trip. Area given is Entrance Lounge- 25sq.m., Cafeteria- 75sq.m., Retail outlet/stalls- 50sq.m., Washroom (Gents) & (Ladies) –25sq.m.

Contextual Images

21

The interior is designed keeping in mind the theme of Banaras and the overall vibe of the place. Vibrant colors are used and muddy color palette, wooden furniture and lamps are used to give an old feel but at the same time give a touch of modern feel to it.

Society Interiors Design Competition and Awards (2023)

A Residential flat is to be designed for Mr. and Mrs. Doshi in Juhu which is Sea facing in (Western Suburbs of Mumbai). Husband is an IT Engineer and wife is Lawyer by profession. They have one daughter who is 6 years old, Mother in Law and Brother in Law. They are well-traveled and like collecting books and artifacts. The flat has to be housed in a cube measuring 297 sq.mts.

26

The residential flat should have a Living room, Kitchen, Dining area, Bedroom and a Mandir. As they are very fond of travelling so they specifically wanted a Picture Wall to display all their travel pictures for memory. Also, they are very fond of artifacts and they have a collection of them, so they wanted ample amount of space throughout the house to display the artifacts which should be partly open and partly closed. As, they also have their mother living with them and since they belong to a Jain family they wanted their Mandir room to have a seating for her to sit and do the Pooja.

The assignment was to turn a hall at N6 campus into a meeting area providing an enclosed space for private meetings. We were also supposed to add wall panelling to one of the walls and do floor tiling and also change one of the existing door to new one.

ORIGAMETRIA (2022)

As part of my Interim in college, I got a chance to work on this installation with my other classmates. It is a geodaisic dome which is inspired from Plato’s Alegory Of Cave. We converted a colorless room and added life by putting up origami shapes which depicts outside world and the gray shades depicts the people living inside the cave.

HYBRID VIRTUAL SPACE IN METAVERSE (2023)

This is a 3d model that I made in Maya during my Interim. The theme was to bring Metaverse into our neighborhood by making use of the aspects from my stream. I made the layout of Yelahanka New Town which has residential colonies, parks, mall, MNCs and ofcourse lots of trees.

FURNITURE DESIGN

39

The inspiration came from the Professional gun staples that I converted into a seater cum storage. It is fully made from Plywood. It has a 60 degree angular joint which gives interesting look to the furniture.

40
TITAPLER

We were given a wall with a painting on it which was made by my senior which was not allowed to be touched or damaged in anyway, so we decided to design our wall mounted cabinet which resembles or complements it. We started playing with different geometrical shape - volume, height and length. We looked at human structure present in the existing painting which had a heart in it, so we took spine as it protects the heart and started designing around that theme.
