Has your band student outgrown his/her concert attire? Consider donating clean and gently used white shirts, black pants, black skirts or black shoes to the band program. The band directors maintain a supply of these items for emergency use by SMS and Woodbury band members. If you would like to donate concert attire, simply send it to one of the band directors with your student. Thank you!

Start a Shaker Student Travel Savings Fund Today! At the high school level, a great number of travel opportunities exist for students–whether touring in Europe with fellow students from the band, choir or orchestra, engaging in a language immersion program to Chile or Germany, or participating in a service project in Southeast Asia. While all student travel experiences have fundraising opportunities to support the trips, we know these costs are great. The time to start saving is NOW! Our partnership with Huntington will allow you to start a Student Travel Savings Fund now. Your savings today will give your student the experience of a lifetime in high school! To start your student’s travel fund, contact Brandon Tufts at Huntington’s Fairmount Circle branch at 216-515-0285.

Woodbury students make huge strides from choosing their instrument and learning “Hot Cross Buns” to performing increasingly difficult styles of music. Middle School musicians’ skills continue to grow in their concert and jazz groups. The 8th graders were thrilled to join the high school students to perform under the Friday Night Lights. It takes a tremendous amount of expertise, care and funding to make this all happen. Funding supports Woodbury jazz band tees, the SMS Cedar Point trip, SHHS senior gifts and recognition, as well as treats, snacks and water throughout the year for all of our musicians. Band Boosters are committed to ensuring that every student has access to Shaker Band opportunities, especially international travel. Our goal is to raise $10,000 every year so that every band student can afford to attend an international band trip. Annual Patron Levels: Adagio ($10 to $100) Andante (up to $250) Moderato (up to $500) Allegro (up to $1000) Vivace! (more than $1000) Please consider becoming a band patron!
