Welcome! Thank you for joining us this evening. In music class, we have learned not only how to be good performers, but how to demonstrate great audience behavior. As the audience, you are an important part of tonight’s concert. The audience’s responsibility at formal concerts is to honor the efforts of the performers by providing a listening atmosphere in which all can appreciate their performance. Will you help us tonight? • • • •
Please do not talk when students are performing. Please don’t walk around during the performance. If you need to step outside, please do it between songs. Please do not call out or wave to students on the risers. Show your appreciation with applause and be sure to congratulate our performers tonight.
We have worked very hard to prepare an exceptional evening of music for everyone to enjoy. Thank you, in advance, for your assistance in helping this to be a wonderful experience for all of us. 3
