Playing shakespeare WITH DEUTSCHE BANK Globe Education’s acclaimed Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank productions are full-scale performances created especially for young people, performed in Shakespeare’s Globe. Each production is designed to support the teaching of English in the UK National Curriculum and leaves students and adults alike buzzing with the thrill of live theatre. The project offers so much more than an ordinary theatre trip. Students and staff are fully prepared for the experience of a performance by a process which begins with heavily subsidised department wide training on teaching the play; introductory workshops for students familiarise them with characters and key themes, and online resources provide insight into the planning and rehearsal process. In addition, all show attendees can take home a programme packed with critical essays and insightful articles guaranteed to extend discussions about the play on their return to school.

KEY factS •

Thanks to the support of Deutsche Bank, FREE tickets are available for the first three weeks of performances for all London and Birmingham state schools. In the final week of performances, subsidised tickets are available for independent schools and all other school groups beyond London for £5, £10 and £15. Our dedicated website’s resources for all our productions are available for you to use in your classroom all year round.
