IT HIGH RISE HOUSING- Kochi, India Structure of any habitat completely revolves around its culture and climate and topography. Each design, should change and adapt primarily, on these three criteria. In Indian cultural context, high-rise housing, is the exact opposite. what I tried to achieve in this project mainly, was to explain the existing cultural and climatic aspects, and how to implement that in terms of design, into the making of a high rise that could resonate with these three criteria; community wise , building wise and each individual unit wise. DISSERTATION Change In User Groups And Its Impact On Urban Form And Vitality Of A Place - Case Broadway Abstract The aim of the research is to study and explore the change of a shopping street due to the change in the user group-in relevance with the impact it made on the urban form and vitality of the place. It brings together the joint disciplines of two theories in urban design; extracted from Urban design by Paul D and Death and life of great American cities- by Jane Jacobs to study this change and hence provide broad recommendations for the enhancement of
the street and
encouragement of all user groups. The study sets out to evaluate both, the impact caused due to the change in the user group on the shopping street and the various elements that constitute a commercial street in general.
