01 LODI 7 Apartment
Luxury Residential Interiors Lodi | Milan | Italy | Internship | 2020
The project aims at refurbishment and design of a two bedroom apartment located in Milan. The interior design of the same including initial survey, layout planning and concept development with 3d visualisation of the space was solely handled alongwith the principal architect of the firm. The complete design development stage was accomplished in the three month long internship.
Under this pandemic, we all realised the importance of a calming and warm home space. The revamping of this small apartment, set deep into the city of Milan, is defined by warm wooden floors, light colored walls with accents of brushed brass to create a cozy yet contemporary space.

Eco Park and Student Housing Porta Romana | Milan | Italy Master Thesis | 2020
Milan is one of the largest cities in Italy and is constantly growing and developing into one of the most competitive cities in Europe. Reading about the city’s infrastructural, morphological and ecological systems, we came across several hurdles that the city has fought to overcome; one such hurdle is the abandoned Railyard of Porta Romana. This 1,300,000 m2 area looks like a huge urban void, which is not only responsible for a disconnect in the built environment, but also affects the social and cultural fabric of the city. The 2026 Olympic Games in Cortina-Milano and the resulting PGT for Milan in 2030 are the right occasion to reflect on the future of Milan and form the basis for the intervention of a new project. The urban planning vision for the landmark was to integrate this space into the system. Concepts such as “Megaspacestrucres” were studied and exploited, and since the proposed structure is a metamorphic structure, we incorporated modern building techniques of prefabrication and modularity to make this vision a reality. Overall, we envision this project as a work of art that has many levels of meaning, style types, etc., that build on each other and reveal a palimpsest of historical changes that meet all the needs of the city in the present and future.

Master’s Project | 2020
The aim of the project is to reconcile the rebirth of the Inujima’s granite with a series of activities that will refer in different ways to the stone. The main quarry site will be the new identity “heart”, from which a path will start or end. Along the path will rise, in different positions in relationship with the surface of the island, several places with different thematic areas (art, entertainment, culture, research and technique), willing to promote and identify the island and its historical stone. . In relationship with every thematic area identified, the pavilions will host different activities aimed at increasing the recognizability, the potential of the territory and therefore inform and raise awareness on the issues inherent in the matter of Inujima’s granite uses, history and peculiarities, inviting to an active participation both for professionals and local people. The pavilions will host art exhibitions, live acting performances, narrations of the history, the myths and legends of the stone, and workshops. During the workshops, master craftsmen will be invited to have the opportunity and the honor of working with the precious granite of the island again, teaching younger artists technics and secrets of the processing of this stone. The products of these workshops, which can be small sculptures, design or furniture objects, or home decorations, will have the “MADE IN INUJIMA” label, certifying the originality of the product.

Exhibition space is placed in the centre of the pond, floating on the water. The entrance is permitted through a smaller building, a reception/ticket office, that works also as a gate. The main building displays some works produced during the workshops in the quarry.

04 Urban Oasis
Temporary pavilion design S. Ambrogio | Milan | Italy Master’s Project | 2019
The site is a square in the heart of Milan. The area is mostly residential with some nice stores and bars all around. It is surrounded by important landmarks in the city, becoming a central point which is also very strongly linked to the city center by metro. The squareitself is used as a parking area, however on Tuesdays and Saturdays the area is used for the popular market, where lots of goods, especially green ones, are sold. Unfortunately, this is the only social event happening in the area. Hence, the area has a strong potential to be improved and requalifyed for better use. Bringing the feeling of living in the countryside to the urban areas, the concept is to promote and establish Home Agrihood in the immediate context of the square.

Three Public Squares The three different public spaces are designed with a common language but different moods to influence the user behavior. The courtyard near the medical home and hospital almost have the same ideology of the space. The first one is built in levels due to the existin site slope providing semi-public pockets in a large public space. However, the later is on a flat land with lesser enclosed spaces. The urban piazza is more open and formal as it looks onto the road and serves the major entrance into the complex.

DLF Chanakya Mall | New Delhi | India Work Experience Project | 2017
The site is a retail shop located inside a luxury mall in Chanakyapuri . The design of the store is an effort to provide an identity to the same in the mall and adapt to the brand’s evolving collection and stylization that goes from bold to elegant from time to time. The character of the store is bought by appropriate choice of materials and finishes. The tailor-made salmon-pink terrazzo floor with white chips brings serenity and continuity in the space (a design intervention to the traditional 90’s terrazzo flooring). The subtle oak wood display units stained in pure white paint accentuates the jewelry with a muted backdrop of Grey marmarino paint finish. The traditional and Indian colonial design nuances grants imperishable quality to the store making it one of a kind.
08 Comic Book Design
Revitalization of urban square Sesto Marelli | Milan | Italy Master’s Project | 2019
The course of ‘Theories in Contemporary Architecture’ broadened the way we look at architecture and how different theories and movements influenced the architecture that we experience in present scenario. One such case was vividly studied and anaylsed to provide future design solutions to tis problems. The architect Ligrestopoli in Milan, Italy constructed pure utilatarian buildings with lifeless glass facades and mere sense of space which lie abdandoned today. The project aims to retrofit and revitalize such buildings all over Milan and put them to active use alongwith the public space around it. The work on the project was carried out in a different approach where a comic book tells the past, present and future scenario of the site. The work on the project was carried out in a different approach where a comic book tells the past, present and future scenario of the site. An interesting approach speaking to the common man helped us create 7 different volumes of the comic book for 7 different sites where these buildings exists. The following pages demonstrate a prototype of the booklet.

10 Skywalk Design
PWD Competition Entry ITO | New Delhi | India Competition Project | 2016
The competition entry comprises of design for the pedestrian sky-walk at ITO area of New Delhi which caters to the needs of pedestrians with inclusion of public facilities. The proposal of the sky-walk at a prime location in New Delhi render it as an important landmark. The site has a rich context with Supreme Court, Pragati Maidan metro station and the metro line hovering over the proposed sky-walk, railway crossing, junction of four main roads namely- Tilak marg, Sikandra Road, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Dean Dayal Upadhaya Marg. The form added in the skyline of NDMC area in Delhi is subtle and respects the context importance. Cable- stayed bridge proposed at this junction is considered to be the optimal choice for several reasons. The form is soft blending in the context with minimal amount of columns respecting the historic skyline of the area. The attraction points like kiosks for food and recreation are planned out. The pedestrian flows are kept into account to plan the entry/exit routes from the sky-walk. There are seven different entries linked to all the roads at the junction. Each entry supports universal accessibility with the provision of either lifts or escalators.
