The sharp slopes on site extend down to the river Zuari in the south and are flanked by lush tropical greens on its east and west with the approach road on its north. The plot itself though was largely barren other than a large, frail-looking mango tree that occupied the center. The result was a breathtakingly satisfying composition: off a merrily flowing river at the far end, enjoyed through an ideal arrangement of palm grooves, under which wooden canoes regularly get pulled up by hardworking fishermen while your eyes wander over the age-old fishing village among the periodic tintinnabulations of the village temple.

The very first ideas emerged when the visibly unhealthy-looking mango tree located right in the middle of the plot miraculously revived itself, as though finding a new purpose in life. This was certainly a good omen, which immediately brought the tree among the central ideas for the house.
The house is organized on two levels. The upper level has the living, dining, and kitchen and is accessible from the road level, while private quarters are on the lower level. Exposed laterite retaining wall is used to raise the side setback to the living room level to create accessible landscaped gardens on upper levels, this gives an illusion of the structure being single.

The village is known for its cannabis plantations and the breathtaking views of the adjacent hills teeming with dense Himalayan vegetation. Visiting Tosh and experiencing the essential culture and lifestyle of Himachal Pradesh is certainly among the most enjoyable Things to do in Kasol.
Plot facing the valley was in need for a weekend home. The plot expressed an uncompromising constructive attitude that was interesting for creating a happy vibe. This idea generated the concept to depict the Laughing Buddha scheme.
Developing a sustainable roofing system to adapt to the existing landscape and to mitigate harsh climatic conditions
Advancing within, the construction include a lavish master bedroom along with a convoy of another bedroom
To create a homify feeling the entrance level include a comfortable living space with 1 bedroom and a vibrant kitchen
A spacious hidden living room with master bedroom suite behind incorporated with classic style touch for the dining and kitchen pantry
To evoke fun and celebration, planning of BBQ decking and a refreshing plunge pool design with privacy and safety
Provision of adequate privacy and separation for the bedroom from the entry level and a sense of security earned
Creates unique pattern of movement remarking the different cores connected to each level to customize the building according to the virtual environment

The house portrays a seamless connection; there is no limit between home and garden - a feeling of freedom. Strategically positioned openings, considering the seasonal shift of wind, ensures cross ventilation throughout the year. Every feature within this design has a part to play in delivering the playful and calming energy that one is sure to be engrossed in while living in this home. Contrary to the traditional aesthetics of residential design within the Kerala context, what sets the residence apart from the rest is its quintessential representation of the modernist style of design. The built form portrays a seamless connection, creating a flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The village and the nature involvement was the biggest goal of this construction. To achieve this dream, we utilized the existing foundation of nature and created a harbor of the portal as in the home surrounding the trees.

A vintage look and feel in terms of spatial design, style, and volumetric feel of spaces complemented by the sheer scale and material usage adds to the functional and aesthetic beauty of the Government model higher secondary school. MKNM HSS Kumaramangalam was established in 1952 when a great visionary Malayattil Ramachandran Nair started an Upper Primary School in Memory of his uncle and a social reformer Malayattil Kesavan Nair, It is located in Thodupuzha block of Idukki district of Kerala.
The school consisted of Grades from 5 to 12 which was further upgraded to a High School in 1966. In the year 2000 the School again was recognized by the Kerala State Government and got upgraded again to a Higher Secondary School. The 5 blocks of the school are situated around the oldest block, constructed in the 1960’s. A walk through the school premise is a time loop on its own. While the block on the west was constructed in the 1980s the block opposite to the new proposed block was built in 2000. The Government school, having been
the host for student festivals, has kept arts alive through the spaces and walls that have enjoyed them far too many times to perform an encore Adaptive usage of the already present heritage structure was the prime focus as the language of architecture blends art and society. As deep as the muthassimavu (Mango tree) plunges its roots through the decades, some blocks of the school have their foundations driven into the earth for almost the same time, ageing only through new branches for the tree and cracks for the structures.

A ‘sustainable architecture’ concept was Incorporated to develop the basic facilities for the local tribes without demotivating the scenic beauty of the place. Encouraging the localities for daily living measures by providing job opportunities from the onset of the project.

A vision was created when ULCC, an organization that has influenced lives all across the Malabar coast decided to create an Educational institution, following the values of humanity and social causes propagated by its founder, Vaghbatananda. Gifted with luscious landscape, and aimed to embrace what nature has to offer, a masterpiece followed. Carefully placed atop a hill mound that linearly spreads itself, the design stamps itself on the terrain, adapting to its jaggedness by forming spaces functionally, embracing the natural contours. The design deftly synchronizes the flow of the spaces and volumes that opens up, towers over, and sweeps across depending on the function that it accommodates. Shades of alluring green, through plants, trees, and green covers run all along with the design, blending with the natural browns and raw concrete greys.
The design masterfully crafts spaces to create an order and hierarchy in terms of mass and placements. While the large volumes, vertically placed, provide space to accommodate the multitude of programs offered by the college, the voids are planted ideally to balance the human body’s need to break out from the walls and look up at the sky above, as a sort of breathing space. The built mass creates frames
and grids, that add a contemporary touch to the architectural language while maintaining the vernacular aspects through locally sourced materials. The frames, in a way, also curate the panoramic view the site has to offer through freedom in the sizes of openings and dynamic shadows that create patterns throughout the day. The green cover adds that element of new life at every glance across the site.
