Shane Stodghill

Shane Stodghill studies government at the University of Texas (UT) at Austin, and expects to earn his BA in the spring of 2014. He is concurrently accumulating valuable experience serving as legislative aide to State Representative Chris Turner. In addition to assisting the representative with routine legislative work, such as constituent correspondence, Shane Stodghill also helps with office administration and research into legislation pending consideration both in Turner’s committees and on the floor of the Texas House of Representatives. In addition, Shane Stodghill assists Representative Turner with any veterans affairs issues that may arise. He is specially suited to serve in this capacity, having recently served with the US Marine Corps in Okinawa and in the personnel unit serving the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, South Carolina.
