When deciding where to attend college, students employ many methods to make their choice. Some make lists outlining the pros and cons of each school they consider, while others simply choose their school based on the programs of studies that are offered to them as undergraduates. Many students visit college campuses to make a connection, and some just want to get as far away from home as they can aford.

Love believes the opportunities and support she was awarded through the Honors College have influenced her college experience in countless ways. She has received valuable mentoring, financial flexibility and the opportunity to study abroad twice, once in Dangriga, Be-

Originally, that was precisely Andrea Love’s plan: go somewhere far from home to attend college. However, growing up in Fayetteville, Ark. and having familial connections to the campus, as well as receiving an Honors College Fellowship, influenced Love to attend the University of Arkansas. “My mother works on campus,” Love said. “My brother went here for undergrad, my parents and grandfather attended grad school here.”

“I also like to challenge myself,” Love said of the coursework involved in the honors program. “I enjoy rigorous courses.”
