Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa - Birds of Borneo

Page 1

Birds of Borneo Borneo is blessed with a large variety of migratory birds and birds endemic to the region. Some of these birds can be found right here in our resort, including the Blue-naped Parrot, Glossy Starlings and Swiftlets along with the Green Imperial-Pigeon and the Brightly-coloured Iora. Some birds like the swiftlets (pictured below) chose to build their nests in the resort, under roofs corners of your balcony, or other quiet areas. These nests may also contain eggs and baby birds. While we endeavor to clean bird droppings found on your balcony daily, you may still find some at other times of the day. Should you wish, please call the Housekeeping Department at ext. “3 to remove and clean them up. If you would like to catch sight of some of these tropical species of birds here in the resort, please do not hesitate to contact the Leisure Centre as guided tours are available.
