SUSTAINABILITY FOR SEAFOOD PROCUREMENT

Central Procurement Team has increased its suppliers that responsibly source wild-caught or farmed in a way that minimizes impact on fish stocks and the marine environment.

The procurement team works across the board, from fish farms to the House of Lobsters, to make seafood more sustainable and continues practices the below;

- Collects data on the products and better understands your supply chain.

- Sources strategic partners such as the ASC and MSC to better understand sustainability issues affecting seafood and hospitality and make use of their tools and resources to guide you.

Cleaning of roof top in Tanjung and Kinabalu Wings.

Tanjung Wing Guest Lift no.2 Modernisation

To improve service for our guests, we updated the TW lift no. 2.

• We are now dismantling old lift equipment to prepare to replace with the new unit.

• Several rooms near the lift have been blocked to ensure the work does not disturb our guests.

• After work is done, Bomba has to certify the lift as safe before we can allow guests to use it.

Ecotourism visit by Kinabalu International School

27 April 2023

Twenty-four pupils aged 9-10 years old from Kinabalu International School (KIS) visited TAH to learn about the Resort’s ecotourism practices. QI & ESG Manager Joyce Murang conducted a presentation for the pupils, followed by a tour to the front of house and the back of house to help the children to further understand the operation and management of the Resort. The pupils also interviewed colleagues from various departments about their respective jobs and responsibilities in the Resort.

Borneo Marathon 2023

May 2023

49 TAH colleagues volunteered to man 10 water and refreshment stations for Sabah's biggest marathon, the Borneo Marathon 2023. Despite the event happening before sunrise, all our dedicated volunteers turned up and served drinks and snacks to the runners.

On May 19, 2023, TAH's Director of Security Balen Anthony met police officers from Tanjung Aru Police Station for discussion on crime happening along the Jalan Aru (from TAH big banner till the First Beach) especially during after Sunset. Officer in-Charge Sub. Inspector Radzmi and his team.

While waiting for their room to be ready or waiting for the time to go to the airport for their latenight flight, guests in the STAR Lounge now have the convenience of shopping for snacks and their favorite drinks in the lounge. This initiative creates an additional revenue stream for the Hotel Shop.

To familiarize our guests with the facilities and services of the resort, the Front Office team has started a brand new programme called "Resort Orientation"!

We introduce them to the facilities with a personalized tour around our resort that starts at 10:30a.m. daily.
