May 2020 Dear Valued Guest, On behalf of our entire team, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to our resort. We thank you for your continued support and wish to assure you we remain deeply committed to caring for the health and well-being of our guests and colleagues. In line with the government’s easing of the movement control order (MCO) for COVID-19, we wanted to draw your attention to some new guidelines introduced by the health and hospitality authorities. Rest assured we will continue to take proactive, thoughtful and measured steps to ensure a clean and safe environment for you to enjoy. Our well-trained staff have also been fully briefed and familiarised with our enhanced protocols. For your protection and safety, we seek your kind cooperation with the following: Moving around the resort • Please maintain a safe distance of at least one metre between yourself and others, • Please observe the safe distancing markers on the floors and in the lifts, • Due to people capacity restrictions in public areas, avoid sitting or standing in public areas unless necessary. For your health and wellbeing • We are encouraging all guests to wear a mask when moving around the resort, • Additional sanitizer dispensers are available throughout the resort’s communal areas, • Our colleagues will continue to wear gloves and face masks when serving you and will avoid physical friendly greetings such as handshakes. Dining at our resort • Mandatory temperature checks for guests are in place at the entrances to our restaurants and bars, • When dining with us, a maximum of four to six guests per table is permitted. The joining of tables is not permitted, • Envelopes will be offered to securely store your face masks when dining in our restaurants and bars, • Contactless ordering through the QR codes, as well as contactless payment is encouraged, • In-room dining orders will be placed outside of guest rooms on a trolley and you will be notified when the order has arrived, • Please call In-Room Dining when you have finished your meal and place the trolley outside of your room.


In line with the recent lifting of some lockdown measures, we are pleased to share the following restaurants and bars are open for service: Breakfast: • Horizon Lounge serves breakfast from its à la carte menu from 6:30a.m. to 10:30a.m., • In-Room Dining breakfast is available from 6:30am to 10:30am daily. Please find the menu in QR code in your Welcome Folder. Lunch: Horizon Lounge serves lunch from its à la carte menu from 11:30a.m. onwards daily, • Shang Palace serves lunch from its à la carte menu from 11:30a.m. to 2:30p.m. daily, and • In-Room Dining is available 24 hours a day, please find the menu in QR code in your Welcome Folder. Dinner: • In-Room Dining is available 24 hours a day, please find the menu in QR code in your Welcome Folder, and • Shang Palace serves dinner from its à la carte menu from 6:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. daily. The Sunset Bar is open from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Hotel Shop is open from 11:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. daily. Cool Zone Kids Club opens from 10:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. daily. STAR Marina is open from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. daily. The following services remain closed for the time being: • Café TATU, Cool Box Ice Cream Bar, Borneo Lounge and Coco-Joe’s Bar & Grill, • Chi The Spa, • Health Club, • Pools and water park. All the amenities currently in your rooms have been sanitised according to international health standards. As an intensified precautionary measure, some of our usual provisions like laundry bags, shoe mitts and horns, coffee & tea sachets will be delivered to you upon request. Please scan the QR codes in your welcome folder for the television menu and guest directory. We continue to remain vigilant and would like to reiterate the importance of following good hand hygiene and safe distancing practices and letting one of our colleagues know if you are feeling unwell.
