Want to see who the best of the best is within your group? Great for competitive groups between the size of 6 and 30. Shangri-La Resort will provide the ingredients, coaching if necessary, and judges for your teams. Working with teams of 3 or 4 people strategize on recipes, consult on the ingredients, assess your team members strengths, participate in the dish development and cheer each other on. Per person cost is based on the dish selected for the competition.
The price ranges from $50-$75 per person. Teams will be judged on taste and presentation.
Our Executive Chef will tantalize you with his cooking skills and his stories Chef walks you through how to choose the right ingredients, the perfect pairing of wine, and how to create a masterpiece dish everyone will love. At the conclusion, all participants get a sample tasting of the dish with the paired wine. The per person cost is $40.00 - $80.00. Minimum of 10 people to hold a class.

We will be happy to handle all fishing event coordination on your behalf. Guests will need a current Oklahoma Fishing License. A Licenses can be obtained online by downloading the Go Outdoors Oklahoma app. Guests will need a copy printed or on their phone prior to boarding the boat. Maximum of 3-7 people per boat Guides are licensed and insured; everything will be provided for you except the license.

We offer hayrides for larger groups of 15 to 25 guests. The hayride is 45 minutes long and travels over approximately 150 acres of trails with lake views and pastureland. A hayride entitles the group to use our camp site area where they can cook hot dogs and make s'mores over a campfire and enjoy our farm animal petting zoo. The group provides all food and beverage. A 45-minute hayride and use of the camp site area for a total of 3 hours is $175.00.

We offer private riding lessons by reservation every day except for Tuesdays. Lessons are one hour long. We provide the horse, tack, boots, chaps and helmets. An individual must be a minimum of 7 years of age. We have two outdoor riding arenas and an indoor riding arena. Lessons take place rain or shine.
Since 1999, Grand Lake Horse Camp has welcomed people from all over the country to enjoy time with horses, have fun and build friendships. Grand Lake Horse Camp is an educational, resident experience with a curriculum designed for kids and adults who want to learn about horses, horsemanship and horseback riding
Spring, Summer and Fall Programs
Weeklong camp for kids that are old enough to stay away from home. Featuring two private riding lessons per day plus a multitude of horsemanship activities throughout the day. Campers arrive on Sunday. A four-day camp for Mothers and Daughters or Grandmothers and Granddaughters. Campers arrive on Thursday evening or early Friday morning with camp beginning on Friday morning. Mothers and Grandmothers can choose to take private riding lessons or only participate in the multitude of horsemanship activities featured during the weekend. Camp ends Monday at noon.

Monkey Island Trail Rides, located at Royal Horse Ranch has been in business since 1994 and offers the following services:
Guided trail rides, open to the public by reservation every day except Tuesdays. It takes a minimum of 2 people to make a reservation and maximum of12 people.
Kids must be able to sit on a pony by themselves and / or 4 years of age. Children between the ages of 4 and 6 are usually led by the trail guide on the pony. Kids under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Trail rides cost $35.00 per person cash or $40.00 per person credit card. Credit cards must be presented in person

Cherokee Spur Ranch is a 15minute drive from the Shangri-La Resort. The Ranch occupies 1,000 acres and nearly 2 miles of shoreline on beautiful Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees.
They offer upland bird hunting for bobwhite quail and pheasant, European Driven Pheasant shoots and waterfowl hunting. Each of the hunts include a guide, dogs, meals and drinks.
In 2013, the Cherokee Spur Ranch, built a 3,000 square foot covered shooting pavilion. It includes tables and chairs for 250, 2 large flat-screen TVs, surround sound, Bluetooth and iPod capable electronics, patio with firepit, lights for night shooting and offers the most unique 5 stand shooting opportunities in the area.They also have 7 trap machines, including a rabbit and a tower. The are open to the public every Thursday at 4pm or by appointment any other day
Monkey Island Winery is open every day, except Tuesday, from noon until 6pm. Wine is available for tasting and purchase. Please call Val for tasting availability.
Monkey Island Winery was started in 2010, we ferment, and bottle wine made from purchased grapes and juice, along with Cynthiana/Norton from our home vineyard. We are also making Apple, Pear, Peach and Blackberry wines from Monkey Island fruit.
