SHiFT Charlotte 2020 at Oasis Shriners Hall
SHiFT Charlotte 2020 will kick off the new decade with its 11th annual immersion for your body, mind & soul with a pre-conference workshop, titled The Power of Play: How Drumming Connects Us, led by Ashley Tisdale, from 7 to 9 p.m. on March 27; followed by a series of seven separate workshops throughout the next day, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Oasis Shriners Hall, in Charlotte. Created and owned by Lori Ives-Godwin, it’s the largest locally produced and attended event in the area for the mind/body/spirit community, and all speakers, vendors, volunteers and staff are from the local community in the Carolinas. The roster of workshops on Saturday will be Finding Wild Wisdom at the Juncture of Intellect & Intuition with Maia Toll, Love the Way You Feel! A Roadmap to Optimal Health with Dr. Deb Matthew, Activating Your 3rd Eye with Kenji Kumara, Learning to Live from The Heart with Dr. Lisa A. Merritt, The Art of Creating Powerful Affirmations for Expanding Times with Sara Arey, What About Joy? Special treats will also include new photo booth opportunities, live Native American flute music, and more. “Last year, we had 900 people come through the event from participants to vendors to speakers to volunteers,” says Ives-Godwin. “Once you are in the building, all classes and complimentary experiences are included.” Over the past 10 years, SHiFT Charlotte has grown into the most prominent event for conscious, forward-thinking people in the Central Carolinas. Everywhere visitors turn, they’ll find engaged, curious, open people that are ready to connect, to share and to serve, including masters and leaders of all types—doctors, healers, acupuncturists, intuitives, integrative physicians, coaches and scores of other experts from throughout our community. It’s a collection of Charlotte’s best-kept secrets, brought together for two magical days.
