Okra Charlotte Hosts New Morning Metabolic Yoga Classes

Brittany Elgin, a yoga instructor with Okra Charlotte, is now offering new, one-hour Morning Metabolic classes at 6:45 and 8 a.m. each weekday. In the same spirit that yoga gives us the body we are meant to have, this program provides us the body we want to have. This interval-style program, a combination of HIIT/Sculpt, vinyasa and breath work, focuses on supercharging our body’s metabolism and immune system while encouraging excess post-exercise oxygen consumption—the natural body response to oxygen deprivation during strenuous exercise wherein O2 is restricted and then made up for after a period of rest—leading to increased metabolism, and subsequently, more focused weight loss.

As a “morning cup of yoga” to energize the youth within us, Elgin will direct participants to move, flow and breathe for 20 vigorous minutes, rest for 10 mindful minutes and then repeat. She also utilizes doTERRA and its new MetaPWR line of essential oils, supplements and powders which are also available for purchase.

Drop-in cost $16; memberships and class packages are also available. Location: 1912 Commonwealth Ave. For more information or to register, call 704-266-1443 or visit www.OkraCharlotte.com.

Cereset Davidson Hosts BrainEcho Presentation

Julie Martin, owner of Cereset Davidson, will host a free information session from 6 to 7 p.m. on February 28 to inform on how the application of BrainEcho technology can help our brains rebalance, restore and reset naturally. Each guest will receive a special offer of $99 ($100 off the regular price) for an introductory session which includes a scan and reports that show how well our brain is functioning in the areas of stress and emotions.

Cereset, founded on the principle that the brain can correct itself when it can “see” that it is stuck or unbalanced, is not a medical device to heal, treat, diagnose or cure. It non-invasively supports the brain to relax to achieve optimal regulation, better manage stress, improve sleep and mood, and increase energy, focus and an overall sense of well-being. Patented “brain echo” technology allows the brain to recognize via sound whether it’s stuck in fight, flight or freeze and self-correct when necessary.

When Martin, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Certified Sexual Abuse Therapist, discovered Cereset technology, she transitioned fully into providing it to us. “After Cereset sessions, I witnessed and heard of amazing breakthroughs in therapy, even for those who had been in therapy for years,” enthuses Martin.

Location: 709 Northeast Dr., Unit 19, Davidson. Event is limited to 20 attendees. For more information or to register, call or text 704-533-2035, email Julie@Davidson.Cereset.com or visit www.Cereset.com.
