Nancy Foster finds herself in the spotlight as a resident

Residents Enjoy Their 15 Minutes Of Fame Andy Warhol once said, “In the future, everybody will be worldfamous for 15 minutes.” Given the recent growth of reality TV and social media, many might now agree that Andy was years ahead of his time and that his time span is far too short. That sentiment seems to be the general consensus among the dozen or so Shannondell residents who share the focus of a new advertising campaign that launched earlier this year for the Shannondell community. The Civil War at 150:

Time To Revisit Gettysburg More than 3 million fought in the war. 620,000 perished – roughly two percent of the population in the 1860s. In 2011, 150 years after the start of The Civil War and 50 years after the last big anniversary that took place, ironically, during the civil rights movement, the country still finds itself healing and unsure, exactly, how to respond, at least in public. In many communities with close ties to significant battles Continued on pg. 9
