Our guiding principles seek to support aspirations of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, to which the government of Tanzania is committed. While we recognize that the level of transformation required is substantial, our vision offers strategies to help identify priority investment areas as well as guidance on how to capture investment to help fund the development program. The Masterplan for the Kigamboni region shall reinvent the benchmark for suburban development across the world and would usher in an era of great opportunities and life for the people of Dar-es-Salaam.

Urban Resettlement and Rehabilitation Mumbai Urban Transport Project, Mumbai, India Project Highlights Short time period - The Resettlement & Rehabilitation Project successfully paved the way for commencing The Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP) in a time period of 2 years. Mega scale - More than 300,000 slum dwellers within the safety zones have been resettled . High satisfaction rate and cost efficiency - The participatory, decentralized, bottom-up approach achieved high satisfaction rate and therefore cut down the cost and speeded up the implementation process. Sustainability - About 224,755 (US$) of income-generation loans are in circulation for resettled inhabitants in the shifting period. All settlements have realized a high degree of self-governance.
