The research project, situated in Ismailia, Egypt, was designed to formulate a viable, self-financed housing scheme specifically attuned to the unique socioeconomic needs of middle and low-income groups within the region. Recognizing the pressing demand for affordable housing solutions, particularly in urban areas like Ismailia, the project embarked on a thorough exploration of innovative financing models and sustainable architectural practices tailored to the local context. Additionally, leveraging insights from local stakeholders and community input, the initiative aimed to develop a comprehensive masterplan that not only addressed housing challenges but also integrated urban infrastructure, public amenities, and green spaces to foster a vibrant and inclusive urban environment. Through this holistic approach, the project sought to empower residents and enhance the overall quality of life in Ismailia while laying the groundwork for long-term urban development and prosperity.
