Small Projects

Small Projects Shape Architecture actively looks to undertake a wide range of residential projects both in respect of project type and scale. We have undertaken many small projects with private Clients, ranging from the design of a partition wall separating bedroom and wardrobe to extensions to listed buildings and very many other small additions to peoples homes. These projects and our working relationship with each Client are much enjoyed. Our project at Linum cottage in Bray where we obtained planning permission for a contemporary glass screen in an historic Grade 2 listed façade is a good example of such a small project. Here the Clients have made the following comment: “Shape Architecture opened our eyes to a number of new ideas, beyond (but importantly including) our original brief, which we are very pleased and excited about. Introducing contemporary elements into a Grade II listed building isn’t always easy, but the listed building consent was granted without a hitch and we already have a start date in the diary. We can highly recommend Shape Architecture - even though ours was probably one of the smaller projects in their portfolio, it was treated with the same respect and professionalism as larger contracts, which wasn’t the case with other architects we approached.” Louisa and Steve Yeoman, Clients

This top floor flat has been transformed through the addition of a loft conversion and the creation of a large external terrace. A connection between the interior of the flat and the terrace now provides enhanced views, whilst the terrace extends and transforms the living space.
“What could have been a difficult and stressful process has been made very simple and enjoyable by Shape Architecture, with the added bonus of being at a great price. I would recommend Shape Architecture to any one of my friends; they could not have been more helpful.” Miss K. Collins, Client

Linum Cottage is a Grade two listed house in Bray. “As a small property development concern we have experience in dealings with architectural practices, but when seeking a project in a geographical area not known to us we were introduced to Shape Architecture and its Director Jason Wren by a mutually very satisfied client. The reasons for this became immediately apparent. Shape architecture has shown itself to be a thoroughly professional and friendly practice that is well structured, and has become an invaluable business partner of ours with multi disciplined services at clearly laid out and competitive prices. We have successfully completed and sold out first project with them, with many more to come!” Marcus Wittington, Director, Gravitas Developers
