I had to think of different angles to take photos. Moreover, I had to edit photo and now I can master Photoshop and Indesign well after creating the newsletter. Finally, I am glad to see the final outcome of the newsletter.
Making a newsletter is not easy. It’s important to negotiate with teammates in order to integrate the ideas. As Roshni is a foreigner, I can totally immerse in an English environment during discussions. Actually, I’m glad that we can finish the whole newsletter together!

I had to make sure that my teammates were on the right track. It was not an easy task of handling both of the roles because it took up lots of time in order to put everything together. However, everything has been successfully done the way we thought our newsletter would be.

About AAEPC
x
AAEPC, which is a 2-year programme offered
by the Community College of City University, aims at improving student’s English level for higher study in a range of everyday, academic, and employmentrelated contexts. Students will learn English in advance, for instance, the use of information, communication technologies for academic and professionally related purposes. It will be very different from secondary school. Students have to explain the functions of mass media and language in society and discuss them in the socio-political, cultural and economic contexts in the region and beyond.

“The expectation of language skill and proficiency is high. Students need to be strong in language skill.”
- By Maria Fung
Other than language skills, criti-
cal thinking is needed here. Students will have the chance to identify and explore critically problems, gather relevant information, carry out and present basic research under guidance, and propose solutions to problems both individually and as part of a team. Students really need to think themselves which is totally different from the spoon feeding policy in secondary school.
During these 2 years, students
will learn a lot of useful theories which can be applied both verbally and non-verbally. xy

Labour Day is a good day for students to do revision as it happens before the examination. Last Day Of Exam and Semester break are the best time for everyone because it happens to be summer holidays and everyone is looking forward to it.
Personal Growth Adventure Camp can allow students to have self-understanding and build up leadership. It is the International Conference On Applied Mathematics which can teach us how to apply mathematics in different aspects.
