01 inter-gen Breaking generational boundaries
Location
Cumbernald, Glasgow, Scotland.
This project is about bringing older generation and younger generation together in order to encourage the reciprocal relationships. Subsequently intends to reduce social isolation in older adult and decerease prejudice between age groups. The population of the world is ageing. Practically, every country in the world is undergoing population growth in older persons. It has become one of the most major transformation of the 21st century. As the elderly population is growing, many of them are living alone and consequently facing social isolation. Besides that, ageism is common in Britain and several changes in the society today has formed boundaries between the younger and older generations. In this project, intergenerational care is introduced as a scheme to promote supportive attitudes between the young and old. Intergenerational care is a shared living environments where multiple generations are getting involve in various planned and informal programs. This practice has shown many postitve impacts to the older population. They experience the sense of purpose and improvement in mental and physical health. Additionally, it is proven that young people who experience contact with the elderly are more likely to have positive behaviors towards older people in general.

02 Govan gallery Location
Govan, Glasgow, Scotland.
A gallery space that promotes the sense of community. A gathering space to revitalize the centre of Govan by bringing community of Govan and also visitors from other parts of Glasgow. The gallery spaces allow art curators or local and international artists to exhibit their art work. It is also a space for community to gather around and exchange ideas. The building provide spaces for children art learning centre. This facillity allows children to learn and appreciate visual aesthetics. Art produced by children will have the opportunity to exhibit in the gallery spaces. This also encourage more interaction between parents and children. The building also provide spaces for event hosting. A space where community interact with each other. The event space is the best place for the community of Govan to gather as it is located in the heart of Govan. Within the masterplan there will be a public square which allow more assessible path and also to create more unobstructed spaces for people to enjoy outdoor activities. The gallery is not only a space to enjoy art but also a space where people meet and interact.

03 Unesco Cultural and
Education Centre
Location
Malacca, Malaysia.
Unesco Cultural and Educational Center is located at Jalan Laksamana, Malacca, situated beside the Malacca River. Malacca is declared as Unesco Wolrd Heritage Site in 2008. The purpose of Unesco is to build intercultural understanding through protection of heritage and support from cultural diversity. It creates the idea of world heritage to protect sites of outstanding value. Few years ago, the ruins of Bastian Victoria were discovered which is currently located within the site. Previously, the ruins were part of the fort until they were damaged in an attack. The site is known as Bastion Victoria located at Jalan Laksamana, Malacca, Malaysia. Ruins of Bastion Victoria is situated within the site. They were part of the fortification of A’ Famosa and were found in 2012 during the excavation of constructing a parking lot. The remains of the ancient fort dating back to the era of Portuguese rule in Malacca (15111641) was discovered in the core zone of the heritage city.
04 Community Library Location
Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Community Library is situated in Brickfields along Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad. It is a urban infill project which the site is sandwiched between a hotel and commercial block. Community Library is for the neighbourhood around the site to spend their spare time together and share something in common. Brickfields is named after most of the klins were located there due to the presence of clay deposits in the area. The population growth of Brickfields was associated with the development of railway system. Due to the construction, labours from India were brought in by the British government. Hence, the area was dominated by Indian migrant. Besides that, the visual impaired community can be found in this area. Thus the community library provide features for this special group of community. This community library also encourage parents and children to spend their quality time with each other.
