The cost is $.50 per ride. Exact change is required. Children under 5 ride free. Senior/ Disabled $0.25 with Medicare/ Medicaid card or other ID K-12 Student $0.25. Buses run Mon.-Sun., from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. on break and 7 a.m. – 12 a.m. on full service 12 a.m. – 7 a.m. has limited service, does not run on legal holidays.

ELBURN METRA STATION

UNION PACIFIC WEST TRAIN

The line leaves Elburn multiple times a day and serves the Western Suburbs and ends at Chicago’s Ogilvie Station. One-way fares from Elburn to Chicago are $9, with weekend passes for unlimited rides on Saturday and Sunday sold for $10. The station is located at 43W166 Keslinger Rd., Elburn. This route runs twice daily seven days a week – check for current schedules online or by calling Greyhound customer service.

ELBURN TRAIN SHUTTLE

340 Carroll Ave. • DeKalb, IL (815) 753-1444 This shuttle operates when NIU is in session. It departs from the Holmes Student Center and delivers passengers to the Elburn Metra Station. The bus runs seven days a week. Ticket may be purchased online at niu.universitytickets.com.
