KAYAK. RUN.
KAYAK
There are multiple businesses to help Fox River explorers travel by water. Kayaks and equipment are available to rent through these three providers.
Kayak Myak
No Physical Location, see website www.kayakmyakrentalsllc.com
Call to reserve your equipment and plan a trip with Kayak Myak. After your reservation is set, they will meet you at your launch site on the day you reserve equipment and give you your itinerary with directions on where to arrange transportation at the end of the trip. All trips are downstream and there are a limited number of materials to keep a phone dry on the watery adventure. Trips include routes from Batavia to North Aurora,
Carpentersville to Elgin and South Elgin to St. Charles. Please note they have single person kayak rentals only.
Mill Race Cyclery
11 E. State St., Geneva www.millrace.com
Rent a kayak, canoe, or tandem kayak with Mill Race Cyclery. They also offer stand up paddle board, kid bikes, tandem bikes and more rentals featured on their website. You can reserve a time and date for a number of sports equipment, by land or river. Get an ice cream to enjoy in the summer and stop in at this giant shop on the Fox River bike trail.

Running And Walking The River

ST. CHARLES
Fox River Bluff West
This area is especially dog friendly and welcomes owners to walk or run with their *well-trained* off-leash furry friends. This trail connects with the Fox River Trail on the east side of the river.
BATAVIA
Lippold Park
Explore this new “educational center” natural area with their unique amenities and trails to walk.
ELGIN
Trout Park River’s Edge
Asphalt paths, various trails and a playground are just some of the features of this natural preserve in Elgin. Runners can get a workout on the paths spanning the 44-acre area.
CARPENTERSVILLE
Fox River Shores Forest Preserve
Run along the bike trail at this gorgeous preserve in Carpentersville and enjoy the “rare” foliage along the way. You can also launch your boat or canoes and kayaks to add on to your adventure.
