Dear readers,

As you may have noticed, Kane County Magazine and Water Street Studios have partnered in the last year to highlight the organization’s amazing resident artists. The “Artist of the Month” feature is regularly one of my favorite parts of the magazine — I love the creativity and originality behind each artist! In mid-May, that partnership expanded with the opening of the Kane County Magazine Gallery, which will feature artwork by local and emerging artists. You can visit the gallery, located on the main floor of Water Street Studios, during public hours (for more on this, visit www. waterstreetstudios.org). Also, don’t forget to mark your calendars for the second Friday of each month; this is when new shows open.
