COUNTDOWN TO THE BIG DAY Wedding Planning Checklist

Our checklist includes the expert advice of Holly Hoover, manager/consultant at Marien Mae Bridal, La Salle.

GETTING ORGANIZED

12 MONTHS TO GO!

Designate one binder/notebook/folder for all your wedding planning items. Attend bridal expos. Consider hiring a wedding planner. Put together a wedding Pinterest board (if you don’t have one already) to show all of your vendors your ideas.

Talk to your families about expectations. Make a list of traditions you want to incorporate into your ceremony or reception. Set a budget. Have an engagement photo taken and submit it to local newspapers as soon as you can — at least three months before the ceremony. Decide on a wedding style, colors and time of day. Decide whether you want an “unplugged” wedding, meaning you don’t want guests to take photos, instead leaving it up to the professional photographer to document the day. If you don’t go “unplugged,” consider choosing a wedding hashtag so the day can be documented from all angles and photos can be easily found on social media. Choose an officiant. Ask about requirements and schedule a meeting to discuss the ceremony. Create the guest list. Select a date and reserve venue(s). Secure a photographer and videographer Schedule appointments with florists to discuss options Choose invitations and thank you notes with your Save the Date cards Tip: Plan to spend 40 percent of your budget on the venue

Tip: It is possible to put together a fabulous wedding with only four months to plan, so if you are planning a short engagement, don’t panic!

9 MONTHS TO GO! Select attendants, flower girl and ring bearer Order wedding dress and accessories Choose bridesmaids’ dresses and accessories Secure catering arrangements if not included in the venue Select a baker and order the wedding cake Secure a florist and place order Hire a DJ or band for the reception Arrange for ceremony music Select hair salon and consult stylist about your wedding day style Research rentals for any extra decorations you would like at the ceremony or reception, including centerpieces if not included in your venue or flower proposal. Tip: Your bridal party wants you to be happy; be sure to voice your opinion on what they wear. 6 MONTHS TO GO! Look into premarital counseling Plan the honeymoon and make reservations Register for gifts Help the mothers select their dresses. Plan the rehearsal dinner and reserve site Finalize reception menu with caterer Reserve a block of hotel rooms or otherwise plan to accommodate out-of-town guests Tip: Register at least three places to provide a variety of price ranges for your guests. Do not register for the same items on different registries. You will end up with duplicates. Tip: The bride’s family traditionally covers the basic costs of the wedding: venue, photographer, catering, etc. The groom’s family picks up the tab for the rehearsal dinner. Any extra details, such as a photo booth, candy buffet or live band, are paid for by the couple.

4 MONTHS TO GO! Submit engagement announcement to local newspaper Give bridesmaids a guest list for the bridal shower Select attire for the groomsmen Schedule your first fitting for your bridal gown Purchase wedding rings and consider having them engraved If leaving the country on your honeymoon, obtain passports and immunizations Address invitations Decide on favors and order or make them. Decide whether you will have a sand ceremony, unity candle or something else. Make a plan for recognizing your loved ones who have passed away. Buy or rent the groom’s tux Buy or rent any extra decorations you choose. Reserve your wedding night hotel room Arrange wedding day transportation Mail invitations eight weeks before the wedding. Etiquette tip: Do not include registry information with wedding invitations. That information can, however, be included with bridal shower invitations.

6 WEEKS TO GO! Purchase gifts for attendants Purchase gifts for each other Order programs or make your own Choose or write your vows Send thank you notes for shower gifts Consult makeup artist Investigate legal details: name fiance in will/life insurance policy, consolidate car insurance, combine bank accounts Tend to any pre-wedding beauty treatments: facial, teeth whitening, etc.

4 WEEKS TO GO!

1 WEEK TO GO!

Make a list of places you need to change your name Decide on seating plan for reception and make place cards if needed Be sure attendants are kept informed of rehearsal plans and any other commitments. Create a wedding day schedule and distribute to parents and bridal party Apply for a marriage license at the county clerk’s office. Be sure to apply within 60 days of the wedding. If you do it sooner, the license will expire before you are ready to use it! There is a oneday waiting period before the license is effective. Acquire a guest book and attendant Send rehearsal dinner invitations Have trial runs for wedding hairstyle and makeup Tip: Relax about the details. Odds are your guests won’t care and may not even notice.

Make final checks on everything: caterer, honeymoon plans, photographer, florist, baker and DJ/band Purchase and/or line up gown preservation for your bridal gown after the wedding. Pack for the honeymoon Make sure you have an “emergency kit” for the big day: sewing supplies, bobby pins, etc. Give bridal party any wedding day assignments or instructions Confirm with venue that vendors will have access to the site when they need it Groom: pick up tux and try it on. Arrange for someone to take care of wedding gifts at the end of the night. Attend rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Give gifts to attendants. Tip: Savor the moments and enjoy your rehearsal dinner!

A Scent-filled Wedding Day Specific fragrance helps brides remember special day By Ali Braboy

M

ary Arellano really wanted to find a fragrance she could enjoy for her wedding day. She heard that if someone wears a specific fragrance on their special day and smells it again later in life, the smell will bring them back to that memorable day. She was married in October to Nick Arellano. The new bride’s maiden name is Hartenbower. She used to live in Lostant and

now lives in Lisle. She chose the scent French Lilac by Pacifica. “It was the closest scent to the actual flower,” she said. “That’s my favorite scent in the whole world, that’s how I would associate it with my favorite day.” Normally, she’s not a perfume person because she tends to get headaches from See Fragrance page 10

certain scents, so she wanted to find one she could wear all day without issues. She needed a subtle scent. “If you’re prone to headaches, the last thing you want is a migraine,” Arellano said. The bottle she ended up loving only cost $20 and lasted all day, and the scent wasn’t overpowering either. One tip she provided to make scent last longer is to moisturize well the area where you spray. Also, she said to spray on the collarbone and in the nook opposite of your elbow. Haleigh Augspols remembers growing up and playing with her mother’s perfume that sat on the bathroom counter. “She’s influenced me the most,” said the newlywed Augspols. “My mom has always worn perfume. It’s a generational thing.” Augspols was married in August to Alan Augspols; they had been together 10

years and they now live in Granville. The new bride’s maiden name is Kneebone. “He can pick out a good perfume,” she said about Alan, who has picked out the best perfume for her as gifts for the past seven years. The first time she asked him for perfume as a gift, she was nervous, but he has pulled through time and time again to continually get her a good gift. This time, he really, really pulled through. Haleigh Augspols’ husband picked out her wedding perfume. “Not only did he pick it out, it reminds me of that day,” she said. “A scent can really bring memories.” The perfume he picked out for her is called Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh, which she describes as “really fresh” and “kind of on the sweeter side.” She will always have her perfume and will always remember her special day.

The night before Tara Knauf’s wedding, she gifted her bridesmaids with jewelry to wear on her special day; she picked pieces the girls could even wear after the wedding. “I thought it’d be a nice gift they could wear after the wedding,” Knauf said. “Bridesmaids do so much. It was nice to think of them in that way.”

A Timeless Way to Shine and Sparkle Matching jewelry for bridesmaids acts as thoughtful gift By Ali Braboy

T

ara Knauf wanted a classic and traditional wedding, one with simple elegance. To go along with her theme, she wanted her bridesmaids to match, so she bought her bridesmaids’ jewelry to go along with their dresses. “I like a uniform look,” she said. In June, she married Neal Knauf and the two now live in Peru. She is the former Tara Kunkel. “All of their dresses and bouquets were the same. I wanted to keep that consistency,” she said. She chose to buy her bridesmaids each a gold Kendra Scott bracelet and a pair of earrings. She wanted to pull in the gold color because her accent color was gold and the bridesmaids’ dresses were pink. The night before her wedding is when she gifted her jewelry to her bridesmaids, and she picked jewelry the girls could wear even after the wedding. “I thought it’d be a nice gift they could wear after the wedding,” Knauf said.

“Bridesmaids do so much. It was nice to think of them in that way.” The bride also bought jewelry to wear for herself, but her father and soon-to-be husband presented her with gifts the morning of her wedding. Her father bought her diamond earrings and her fiance bought her a diamond necklace to wear. She thinks gifting bridesmaids with matching jewelry keeps a wedding consistent and also says thanks to those who help make the day special. “If you want to keep the look consistent, I think it’s a nice way of saying, ‘Thank you for being in my wedding,’ with providing them something they can wear to your wedding and remember your wedding by wearing it after,” Knauf said. Matching jewelry items for the wedding party is not a new trend, says Gary Bruce, owner of Bruce Jewelers of Princeton. The business is 73 years old and has assisted wedding parties with matching items since the beginning. Bruce said some items women will request include matching stone set pendants, bracelets and engravable items like charms. Matching jewelry isn’t only for women — the men in the wedding party often receive appreciation gifts, key rings, money clips and pens that are all engravable. The popularity of white metal has made these items in sterling silver and stainless steel affordable, Bruce said. He also mentioned that appreciation gifts include wine glasses as remembrance gifts. Bruce Jewelers offers custom engraving services on jewelry and glass. The small business Sasso Jewelry & Gifts in downtown La Salle carries a selection of merchandise that brides will enjoy. The Kendra Scott line is very popular with brides, said Sasso owner Denise Bernabei. Brides also like to give gifts to their bridesmaids for being part of the special day, and the store has merchandise that works with that well too, such as bracelets that read, “bride tribe.”

Engraved wine glasses like the one pictured from Bruce Jewelers in Princeton are nice appreciation and remembrance gifts for those in a wedding party. Matching jewelry items for the wedding party is not a new trend, says Gary Bruce, owner of Bruce Jewelers of Princeton. Here is a picture of matching pearl earrings and necklace from Bruce Jewelers that would work perfectly for an upcoming wedding if the women in the party were interested to match. Kelly Sissel-Morris, owner of Guys and Gals salon in Princeton puts the final touches on a half-updo on Brittany Lee. Morris says soft, romantic hairstyles are on trend for the upcoming wedding season. Cascading waves and curls that frame the face are more flattering than severe updos she said.

or many brides, once the dress has been chosen, hair and makeup is the next style consideration. Whether you’re accustomed to a no-makeup freshed-face look or you regularly wear a full face of makeup, on your big day you’ll want to look as

polished as possible. Kelly Sissel-Morris, owner of Guys and Gals salon in Princeton has spent years making bridal parties beautiful and knows a little something about how to put your best foot forward for your big day. “Longer half-updos roman-

tically styled is trending and classic,” Morris said. “If you go with a style that puts all the hair up, if it’s what you dream of, then something soft with escaping tendrils is very on-trend and works with a variety of hair lengths and textures.

Future bride Kim Scott of Princeton approves of the look Morris styled. The trend for softer bridal hair is versatile for all lengths and hair textures and allows for creative styling.

Morris says “nothing tight is right this year”. As far as makeup trends, she says full face makeup done softly with more of a natural look is a hot trend. “A soft rosy cheek, an eye color that brings out the color in each bride’s eyes, again done more subtly is flattering to every bride. “Soft neutral lips are trending,” Morris said, “But I love a classic bright red lip on almost any bride.” A bridal hair and makeup trial is recommended, Morris said. “About a week or so before wedding or on the day of a bridal shower are good times to test your look. And, she says, it’s always best to make a party of it. “When bridal parties come in together it really sets the morning and day off to an amazing start, knowing each of the girls are there and getting ready. When they split up you can tell it weighs on the bride wondering where they are or what they are doing with their hair and makeup.” And, guys, don’t forget to schedule your grooming as well.” “Grooms and groomsmen should also be considering their look a couple months before the wedding,” Morris said “And get it perfected with a final trim the week of the wedding.”

Medium length hair showcases soft curls in this style, perfected by Kelly Sissel-Morris. This look is easy to touch up and maintain throughout the day’s festivities.

Touchable waves are easy to arrange and maintain for wedding looks today. Whether worn half-up or down and flowy, the style is easy going yet elegant.

Morris applies a red lip as a finishing touch on Kim Scott. Soft natural makeup can be elevated with a bold lip suitable for any wedding look.

Cheri married Ken Credi on Sept. 1 but the newlyweds decided to put off their honeymoon until winter when they really needed a sunny getaway. hey got married Sept. 1 and decided to enjoy the fall colors at home before leaving for their honeymoon. Ken and Cheri (Keegan) Credi of Peru are taking their honeymoon some time after Christmas with a warm-weather getaway to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. They’ll celebrate being husband wife under the

Pacific sun while the rest of us watch our breath freeze and count down the days until spring. “For us, it works better to take it in the winter when it’s not nice here,” Cheri explained. “Plus we enjoy the fall weather and it made more sense to wait until a time of year when we needed it. We both enjoy a winter vacation so we

decided to enjoy our honeymoon with a winter vacation.” Two generations ago, mom and dad said “I do” and then hopped in the car to vacation at Niagara Falls, which for years reigned supreme as America’s hottest honeymoon destination. World, which overtook the falls as king of the honeymoons. Couples today are breaking from traditional honeymoon destinations and not necessarily leaving right after swapping their rings. For many couples, such as the new Mr. and Mrs. Credi, the calendar and the forecast are considerations. Why set off right away for a tropical destination when you can save it for when you really need it? “Honeymoons are becoming more than just chilling somewhere for a week after the wedding,” said Karen Lewis, owner/travel consultant with All Points Travel in Ottawa. “Couples are trending towards more adventurous or multi destination honeymoons that give a good blend of adventure and relaxation. “Popular options are island hopping in Greece, African safari, sightseeing combined with wine tastings in Spain and Italy, Australia and New Zealand to visit the outback and snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. They are waiting until the best time to travel to the particular destination and not necessarily departing right after the wedding.” Erin Foster, manager of Travel Connections in Peru, said many people who get married in autumn will wait until the following summer before cruising to Alaska. Couples who tie the knot in summer will wait until after Christmas to ski in the Alps. “Many of our couples will base their travel plans around our recommendations for the best time of year to visit their intended destination,” Foster said. “That is, avoiding tropical storm season in the Caribbean, the slower pace of Europe in the fall and winter, prime viewing for the northern lights in Iceland, or booking early for the short Alaskan cruise season.” OLDER NEWLYWEDS, WITH CASH Putting a hold on the honeymoon is attributable to societal changes, too. Cheri and Ken Credi of Peru were married Labor Day weekend but haven’t taken their honeymoon yet. Why? More and more couples are following suit, postponing their honeymoons to enjoy more exotic or costly experiences. single income from which to splurge on a honeymoon. In 1950, the average age of a marrying couple was 23 for the groom and 20 for the bride, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau. By 2010, those figures had soared to 28 and 26, respectively. Couples today are likely to have launched a professional career and amassed a larger honeymoon budget (if also saddled with more student debt) than was available to their parents. “I’ve booked honeymoons to Italy, Hawaii, Aruba, St. Lucia and Costa Rica, plus Mexico and the Caribbean,” said Anna Lijewski, owner of La Salle County Travel Agency, Inc. “I’ve been doing this for 30 years and I can definitely say people have bigger budgets today than when they went to the Poconos or took a car trip somewhere in the United States.”

Lijewski said technology also has played a big part in where and when people are honeymooning. Stepping out of your comfort zone is easier in an era when information and bookings are available at the touch of a button. Many Americans today will have traveled across international borders well before making vows at the altar, meaning a belated and exotic honeymoon destination is neither daunting nor unaffordable. “Every class travels now, whether you’re a Baby Boomer or college student studying abroad,

WORK FIRST Foster also noted work schedules come into play. Many past and present clients were teachers who have limited days off during the school year and can’t necessarily jet off after a fall-colors wedding. “We also have couples that are saving for a home, or just saving in general, so delaying their travel plans makes good, financial sense,” she said. “Travel agents work with suppliers and tour operators that allow our clients to book early out with only a small deposit, and a final payment date approximately 45-60 days prior to departure. “That makes planning early, and on the reverse end, delaying their travel, much more budget-friendly.” And for many couples, a honeymoon represents a once-in-a-lifetime chance to do something exotic before taking on household finances, starting a family and returning to the office. Katie Mennie of Mark took her honeymoon to Mexico where she and her new groom could swim with sea turtles. Mennie acknowledged that many of her peers are forgoing traditional destinations for once-in-a-lifetime experiences, even if they needed to be postponed or saved for. “Some of our friends have waited months because they have a more extravagant dream for their honeymoon, something that’s more expensive and they have to save for,” Mennie said. “You want to get off the grid and be together.”

OPEN BAR OR CASH BAR? Maybe beer and wine only?

Know your crowd (and your budget) before serving complimentary drinks By Tom Collins

NEWSTRIBUNE SENIOR REPORTER

W

hen Amanda Holland married David Carter eight years ago, the reception was held at the home of Amanda’s parents and they made sure nobody complained of thirst. The bride and groom brought in plenty of beer, wine and liquor and even hired a few bartenders to serve their guests whatever they wanted. They never considered anything but an open bar. “We wanted our guests to feel as if they didn’t need to bring their wallet to attend our celebration,” Amanda said. If you’re getting married next year and don’t want your guests reaching for their billfolds, then you’d better make sure yours is full. Throwing a reception for friends and family isn’t cheap to begin with, and a bar tab can be a bud-

NEW

get buster. So what’s your best bet? We asked couples whether it’s best to go open bar, cash bar or a compromise offer such as making beer, wine and soda on the house. “We offered free beer and wine,” recalls Dave McClure of Ottawa, “and I bought a case of scotch for whiskey drinkers hoping I’d have some left over. I did.” Dave Roden of Princeton said he and his better half also opted for beer and wine on the house — but he, too, discreetly put out a stash for those who wanted a nip of something harder. “The whiskey was there but you had to know to ask,” Roden winked. Dio Rios is bar manager for the Knights of Columbus in La Salle, a

venue that hosts about one wedding per month. He said a purely open bar — guests don’t pay for anything — is something of a rarity. Most couples, he said, offer their guests beer and wine but will leave it to guests to pay for a cocktail or highball. “I’d say 70 - 75 percent of the time it’s open bar minus the hard liquor,” Rios said. “And usually they’ll quote a certain number of barrels of beer — usually three barrels for a party of 200 — and some will manage costs by cutting off the wine after dinner time. People can limit the expenses by making a happy hour before dinner.” Sherry Henkel agreed that a limited open bar is a popular choice. Henkel is a co-owner of Senica’s Oak Ridge in La Salle, where the two most popular choices are beer-and-wine on the house or open bar for five hours at $40 per person. Beer and wine is tabulated by quantity served, not by a fixed amount, so a marrying couple should come in with a sense of how thirsty their crowd will be. “If you know your audience and they’ll drink a lot, then it’s a good idea to go with the five-hour open bar,” Henkel said. Henkel further noted two societal changes that brides and grooms should consider when choosing a level of bar

NEWSTRIBUNE PHOTO/SCOTT ANDERSON

Amanda (Holland) Carter held her wedding reception at her parents’ house and made it open-bar, even hiring bartenders to bring the guests whatever they felt like drinking. “We wanted our guests to feel as if they didn’t need to bring their wallet to attend our celebration,” Amanda said. Open bar, cash bar or beer and wine? Today’s brides and grooms have varied opinions about what’s the best and most affordable option.

service. First, draft beer is out and bottled beer is in. A generation ago, many men and some women preferred a glass from the tap but today’s youthful beer drinkers much prefer craft brews from a bottle. “The most popular choices are bottled beer and wine,” Henkel said. “Draft beer does not go over anymore. We’ve had keg weddings and we might not go through two of them.” The second change is drunk-driving awareness.

Wedding guests are more likely today to limit their intake, or at least to arrange for rides home, in light of DUI penalties that can be crippling. Senica’s will do its part by arranging taxi rides home to over-imbibing guests, who may leave their cars parked overnight, though revelers are generally more cautious than they were a generation ago. “The bar businesses isn’t like it used to be, and that even goes for weddings where you can help yourself.”

Cash bars are recommended to couples working within a tight budget and, while a dry wedding isn’t to everyone’s liking, Gerilynn Smith of Oglesby said she and her guests enjoyed a beautiful wedding with only soft drinks on tap. Alcohol isn’t necessarily a requirement to having a great time. “We didn’t allow alcohol and had the best time with people who wanted to share the special day with us,” Smith said. “Our friends and family didn’t mind at all.”

What’ll you have? Amy Simone mixes a cocktail at Senica’s Oak Ridge in La Salle, which offers two popular packages for couples who want to curb the liquor expenses at their wedding receptions. Senica’s has five hours’ open bar at $40 per guest or complimentary beer and wine at a per-bottle rate. Which is best? Senica’s suggests knowing your crowd before selecting a level of alcohol service.

Need a wedding planner? Or advice from your peers?

Newlyweds and others with fond memories share some of their tips By Kim Shute

BUREAU-PUTNAM BUREAU CHIEF

hen it comes to planning for the big day, some W choose to take it on them-

selves and some hire an expert to coordinate the details. But regardless of your method, there’s always someone who’s been there and done that and has valuable advice to offer. These folks share their best planning tips to make your wedding a success.

Lori Schrock Rumbold Plan your wedding to share who you are as a couple. The day should reflect who you are and the love you share. This can be done much less costly than most people think. It’s not about the money spent but the love between the future husband and wife.

Monika Sudakov Register for your Honeymoon! It allows people to contribute to experiences rather than buying you things, and they act as your personal travel agent so that’s one less thing to worry about! Best thing we ever did, aside from getting married.

Jeff Sudakov Give yourselves at least one day before leaving for your honeymoon.

Peggy Gomez Planning a wedding is very unique. Some people love the outdoor woods type or indoor clubhouse, heck even on the beach. Whatever your type, focus on colors both of you like, and then make a theme out of it. If you don’t want a big wedding, maybe even a courthouse wedding instead of a honeymoon — have people help with funding for your new home or other needs. Yes this really happened to me before — helping buying or even painting with a house they have built.

Dana VanAutreve We planned a vacation ourselves while the honeymooners were gone. Nice way to recover.

Kelly Sissel-Morris typed: • Don’t ask wedding party until one year before. • Don’t choose the date first — choose venue, then go from there. • Hair/makeup, photography are vital, don’t go cheap. • Don’t waste money on souvenirs or party favors no one appreciates the time ’n’ money they take. • Open bars are only expected in cities and again your guests will waste your money. Buy a couple kegs and cases of wine and you’re good. • Food: Get good food and appetizers, and pizza at the end will keep the party going. • Photo booth is a great idea, but don’t hide it in the corner.

Linnea Anderson Guither shared: My best advice is remember the day is about you and your husband, a lot of noise happens when ur planning the wedding. I let the noise get to me sometimes and it strained my husband’s and I’s relationship. So all that “free advice” comes at a cost. Also if you are mailing invites, call or email people to let them know the invites are coming so that when you call them looking for their rsvp and the USPS lost the invite you aren’t surprised. USPS lost 30-40 of our invites and we didn’t know till we didn’t get rsvps back.

Before and After three Sculpsure Submental Treatments and no change in body weight between photos.

Chin Up! Change Your Chin with WarmSculpting

WarmSculpting, otherwise known as, SculpSure™ is a laser procedure that targets unwanted fat. If you have a double chin or unwanted fat along your jaw line, this is the procedure for you! Men and women of all ages can benefit from this procedure. Dr. Nicole Norris of Nicole Norris MD Medical Spa in Peru has been offering this procedure for the last 2 years. She was happy to answer our questions and comment on her the results she sees in her practice. How does it work? SculpSure™ is a laser which is only attracted to adipose tissue (fat cells). The laser energy is absorbed only by fat cells. The other surrounding body tissues do not absorb the energy and are unaffected. Over the course of 12 weeks, the dead fat cells are permanently cleared from the body. This laser can be used on almost any area of the body where a patient has unwanted fat. Due to

the heat from the laser there can also be some degree of skin tightening. When you lose fat, you will not be left with loose skin in the treated area. However, if there is already loose skin in the area, it will not significantly alter that skin. In my opinion, WarmSculpting gives better cosmetic results under the chin than similar fat-busting modalities, such as CoolSculpting or Kybella. How much fat can I expect to lose and how many treatments are typically needed? In the SculpSure™ studies, patients lost an average of 21 percent of the fat under their chin with one treatment and noticed a more defined jaw line. The number of treatments depends on the patient’s goals and how big the treatment area is. Most patients do at least 2 treatments separated by about 6 weeks. What does it feel like? The treatment is done sitting upright on a comfortable exam table and takes 25

minutes. Laser energy is heat energy. The heat you experience is tolerable but not necessarily comfortable. The heat cycles every five seconds and is not persistent. We can adjust laser settings through the procedure so that everyone completes the procedure. When can I expect to see my result? Since it takes the body an average of 12 weeks to clear fat from the body, your definitive result is approximately twelve weeks after your last treatment, pending your age and medical issues. Why do some people have double chins and others do not? Some people are born with a submental fat pad and others are not. This is an area to store fat. Sometimes patients notice a double chin when they gain

weight, women may notice it around menopause, and others notice it as they age despite minimal differences in weight gain. Patients are good candidates for SculpSure for under their chin if they are healthy, can maintain their weight and do not like the fullness under their chin! Chin up! There is hope for changing the appearance of your chin with SculpSure™! Come to our Sip, Sculpt and Change your Chin Event on Thursday, February 20th Party by Appointment! Special Event pricing that day only when you come in for a 30-minute free consultation with a SculpSure™ expert. Call us at 815-780-8264 to reserve your 30-minute appointment and to learn more!
