The Bureau County Senior Center is open to all senior residents, age 60 and older, in Bureau County, with daily hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at its location in Princeton. Enjoy a delicious lunch with its Congregate meal program. Please call the day before to reserve a seat at the table. The meal program offers the opportunity to enjoy time socializing and making new friends.

The Bureau County Senior Center is proud to offer several services, from transportation assistance for medical appointments to shopping to social trips. Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. with at least a 24 hours advance reservation appreciated but not required. Per the Older Americans Act, all of their services are provided at no charge. But as always, donations are appreciated.

The Lending Closet offers the community the opportunity to borrow devices, such as walkers, wheelchairs and commodes. The closet also accepts donations of devices.

The Food Bank is open on Mondays and Wednesdays between 12:30 and 1 p.m. to those in need by curbside pickup in Bureau County.

Staff at the Senior Center can provide assistance with Medicare, Medicaid and Medicare Part D applications as well as assistance applying for a benefit access sticker for your vehicle for those who qualify with the Income guidelines.

The Outreach Program Coordinator for the Senior Center can make home visits to help connect residents and their caregivers to available services.
