River Cities Quilters to meet
The River Cities Quilters Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at the Fulton Presbyterian Church.
The speaker will be Sherri Freyermuth from Heartland Cottons in DeWitt, Iowa. She will be giving a demonstration on paper piecing. Attendees will be able to work in small groups so it won’t be necessary for each person to have her own machine. Sherri will provide kits for a scrappy tulip coaster. You are encouraged to bring a sewing machine and notions if you would like a hands-on experience to learn the technique. Notions needed are neutral thread, seam ripper, scissors, small cutting mat and rotary cutter. Some machines will be available.
Anyone interested in fiber arts is welcome to attend.

First Reformed Church announces Holy Week services
Join us for worship at 9 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 17, at First Reformed Church, 510 15th Ave. in Fulton. Pastor Chuck Huckaby will preach from John 20. The choir will sing. Choir practice begins at 8 a.m. Sunday School begins at 10:30 a.m. Coffee and refreshments are served in the library during social time after the service.
A Maundy Thursday Service will be at 6:30 p.m. April 14.
Senior Meals are at 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays at the church.
No Bible study this week.
Creative Crew meets at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 13.

Ebenezer Reformed to celebrate Holy Week
The public is invited to attend a Tenebrae service, also known as a Service of Darkness or Shadows, at 6 p.m. Good Friday, April 15, in the sanctuary at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park St., Morrison.
The sanctuary will be dimly lit as a dramatic reading reflects on the final hours of the life of Christ. Attendees will sense the heartache and grief of those who followed Jesus up until the end of his life.
This will be a special Good Friday worship experience and you are encouraged to come dressed in black.
On Easter Sunday, April 17, join us in worshiping our Risen Lord at 9:30 a.m. Roger Weis will sing special music selections and lead the congregational singing of familiar hymns such as “Christ Arose,” “He Lives,” “Christ the Lord is Risen Today” and more.

Albany United Methodist sets Holy Week schedule
Albany United Methodist Church will host a Good Friday service at 6:30 p.m. April 15 at the church, 502 First Ave.
The Easter service will be at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, April 17, on the shores of the Mississippi River at the Village Lions Club pavilion behind village hall.
Free community meals at CrossView Church
CrossView Church, formerly Second Reformed Church, in Fulton will host a free community meal every Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. CrossView is at 705 14th Ave. in Fulton.
