August Golden Meals

Meals will be served at Whiteside County Senior Center Monday through Thursday. Fridays are home delivery only. For more information about home-delivered meals, call 626-4442. PLEASE NOTE: If you are a Golden Meals home delivery client, you are more than welcome to come to dine at the Center, however, you MUST cancel your home delivery for the day, due to grant guidelines. MONDAY: Chili dog, oven fries, peas, wheat bun. TUESDAY: Baked chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, carrots, wheat bread. WEDNESDAY: Beef and noodles, green beans, fruit, wheat bread. THURSDAY: Baked cod in lemon butter, scalloped potatoes, spinach, wheat bread. FRIDAY: Cook’s choice at sites that are open Friday.

Aug. 8-12

MONDAY: Sausage gravy over biscuit, diced carrots, cinnamon applesauce, wheat bread. TUESDAY: Chicken noodle casserole, corn, fruit, wheat bread. WEDNESDAY: Scalloped potatoes & ham, peas, fruit, wheat bread. THURSDAY: Sloppy Joes, mac & cheese, green beans, bun. FRIDAY: Cook’s choice at sites that are open Friday.

Aug. 15-19

MONDAY: Italian brat, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, bun. TUESDAY: Chicken Alfredo/pasta, spinach, mixed fruit, whole wheat bread. WEDNESDAY: Ham loaf, sweet potatoes, mixed vegetables, wheat bread. THURSDAY: Jumbo hot dogs, potato wedges, baked beans, bun. FRIDAY: Cook’s choice at sites that are open Friday.

Aug. 22-26

MONDAY: Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, wheat bread. TUESDAY: Chef salad, vegetables in salad, Mandarin oranges, blueberry muffins. WEDNESDAY: Cook-out, pork chop sandwich, sides TBD. THURSDAY: Spaghetti, peas, warm peaches, wheat bread. FRIDAY: Cook’s choice at sites that are open Friday.

Aug. 29-31
