OLD PRAIRIE TOWN/WARD-MEADE BOTANICAL GARDEN

One of Shawnee County’s favorite special events, Tulips at Twilight features more than 35 lighted displays including larger-than-life flowers as you stroll garden pathways with thousands of tulips illuminated by luminarias.

Enjoy live music and building tours of Old Prairie Town on Friday and Saturday evenings. The garden is open Sunday through Thursday for a more tranquil experience.

Presented by the Friends of Ward-Meade Time: 7-10 p.m. Fee: $5; Children 5 and under free

TULIP FESTIVAL AT THE LAKE

TED ENSLEY GARDENS/LAKE SHAWNEE

The very popular Tulip Festival at the Lake returns to Ted Ensley Gardens. Enjoy live music, visit the craft vendors, enjoy fun for the kids and stroll the gardens to view tens of thousands of tulips on a beautiful spring day. Age: All ages Time: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Fee: $5

APRIL 8 ADAPTIVE EGGSSTRAVAGANZA

Gage Park

This first-time event is geared for our adaptive community. The hunt will begin at 6 p.m. on the Accessible Ball Diamond in Gage Park. Pre-registration is encouraged for special accommodations. Age: 21 years and younger Date: April 8 Time: Fri. 6 p.m. Fee: $5 per participant

APRIL 14 MOONLIGHT EGG HUNT

Shawnee North Community Center 251-6900

Grab your flashlight and keep your eyes open for sparking Easter Eggs. The hunt takes place on the Nature Trail in the dark. Youth will hike to a special location. Treat bags will be given away after the hunt. Parents are encouraged to walk with younger children. Bring your flashlight and walking shoes! Age: 5-12 yrs. Date: April 14 Time: Thur. 8-9 p.m. Fee: $10 per person

Hills Bark Park, Gage Park

Join Shawnee County Parks + Recreation for our first ever Pooches and Peeps event! Kick off Easter with your dog in the new dog egg hunt pawty at the Hills Bark Park! Each registration includes 10 eggs and a fun gift! Humans and dogs are paws-itive to have a great time! Dogs must be on leash and will need to register based on weight. Preregistration is required as there are limited spots available. Dogs must be 6-months-old or older to participate. Date: April 15 Weight: Small Dogs, Under 35 pounds Time: Fri. 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Fee: $10 per dog
