Zoo Hours:

9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily. Grounds open until 5 p.m. The Topeka Zoo is open year-round except on Christmas Day & New Year’s Day.

Admission Fees:

Adults: $8.75 Seniors (65 and over): $7.75 Children 3-12 yrs: $7.25 Children 2 and under: FREE

ZOO ADVENTURE CAMPS

Are your kids wild about animals? Sign them up for Topeka Zoo Adventure Camps!

Dates: Visit the Topeka Zoo website for specific dates and themes! Time: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Ages: 6-12 (Can be 5 if currently in kindergarten) Maximum Capacity: 25 students/day

SINGLE DAY CAMPS: Registration is on a daily basis. Dates: Feb. y 10, 11, 14, March 11, April 15, 18 Cost: $30/student/day (plus tax) for FOTZ members; $35/student/day (plus tax) for non-members

SPRING BREAK CAMP

Registration is for this whole week (not daily). Dates: March 14-18 Time: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Cost: $140/student/week (plus tax) for FOTZ members; $165/student/week (plus tax) for non-members Visit the zoo’s website to register your kids at https://topekazoo.org/ education/camps/, or call 785-368-9137.

DINOSAURS AT THE TOPEKA ZOO

Coming in Spring of 2022, go for a walk through time as the Topeka Zoo brings the past to life! The zoo will host life size, life like, robotic dinosaurs of all types and sizes to WOW and amaze you! Visit the past as you encounter full size and realistic looking and acting dinosaurs at your Topeka Zoo! Listen for details and check the zoos website for more information as these amazing animals get closer to Topeka this coming spring!!

HOME SCHOOL CLASS

This class is for Home Schoolers and other interested school-age children with an adult and offers an up-close-and-personal encounter with science concepts, vocabulary, and interactions with zoo animals. Classes are from 10-11:30 a.m. in the zoo’s Gary Clarke Education Classroom.

Dates and Themes:

Jan. 12: Land Predators Feb. 9: Prey of the Land March 9: Houdini Hunters April 13: Aquatic Predators and Prey

Registration and payment are required for all children ages 3-17. At least one parent, guardian, or caretaker is required to attend per family and gets into the class for free. Limit to one free adult per family unit. Children 2 and under are free and do not require pre-registration.

Cost: FOTZ Members: $6*/student/class; Nonmembers: $8*/student/class (*Admission to the zoo not included in class price and is required for all people in your party; tax will be added on top of class fees.)

ZOO EVENING CLASS

Join the Topeka Zoo as we launch evening educational classes that are fun for the whole family! Each class will feature live animals and a craft or activity. Classes are for all ages and open to the general public.

Time and Capacity: 6-7:30pm; 40 person maximum/class. Dates: Jan. 19: Suited for Survival March 30: Native Americans of the Prairie Location: Gary Clarke Education Classroom at Zoo; all individuals, age 5 and older, must wear a mask inside the Gary Clarke Education Classroom.
