Welcome to our Spring / Summer season at Andy Edmeads Venue & Operations Manager
Camberley Theatre
Fresh from his success in the USA and following sell out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, I am beyond excited to welcome Colin Cloud to Camberley Theatre for the very first time. Having seen his last three shows, I can assure you this is an event not to be missed. For fans of Derren Brown and anyone who saw Colin’s appearances on America’s Got Talent last year, expect to be blown away! If it’s showbiz glitz and glamour you like, we are delighted to welcome back Strictly Come Dancing’s Ian Waite and Oti Mabuse for two nights of exquisite dance. We are also thrilled to welcome Giovanni Pernice who dazzled in last year’s show with Debbie McGee who makes his first appearance here in Camberley. Just as showbiz and glittery will be The Fabulous La Voix who you may know from Britain’s Got Talent and the recent Ab-Fab Movie. Featuring live music, big songs, comedy and a host of impressions, La Voix will be a night to remember! Once again we host some of the biggest monthly and best names in stand-up comedy. Asides from our regular month comedy club (always the last Friday of the month!), we are thrilled to welcome impressionists Jon Culshaw and Jess Robinson while the voice of Love Island Iain Sterling, Dane Baptiste, and The Horne Section also play here in September. Building on a successful season of family and children’s shows, we welcome another set of fantastic productions for our younger audiences including So You Think You Know About Dinosaurs, Easter panto courtesy

This two day music event is hugely popular with families and this year I’m very excited by our 90s day on Saturday with tributes to Spice Girls, Blur and Oasis (plus don’t miss Ushti-Baba who are awesome!) while Sunday is headlined by Northern Soul artiste The Angelo Starr Band. Both days are not to be missed with a great selection of mouth-watering food stalls, well stocked bar and host of kids activities, tickets are selling fast so book soon! Other highlights this season include journalist Germaine Greer, Neighbours icon Jason Donovan and top quality tributes to artists such as Adele, George Michael, Tina Turner and Dusty Springfield. In July we will hold our first ever Beer and Cider festival and will also be presenting award winning folk band The Unthanks as part of the 3rd Camberley International Festival on 22nd June. Believe it or not, there’s still so much more to come so please take a look through this brochure and be sure to check our website and social media pages for more news and updates! The Camberley Theatre Bar is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink both before the show and during the interval. Don’t forget you can avoid the queue by pre-ordering your interval drinks on arrival.
Hi, I’m Kayleigh and I look after our bar and hospitality services here at the theatre. There is always a great atmosphere in the bar area before a show and it’s a good chance to meet up with friends or wind down from the day before heading in to see one of our fantastic shows. We also have a great range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks to suit all tastes! My top tip: The bar opens an hour before the performance time but is usually busiest in the 15 minutes before the start. Arriving earlier means less time waiting and more time to relax in our dedicated lounge area! 12

Theirs was direct action, born of gut reaction, virtually innocent of theoretical framework. Feminists can be found wherever the planet and our fellow earthlings are in trouble. Friday 29th June One Voice
Back for its second year at Camberley Theatre, Addition Festival brings together short bursts of work from emerging and professional artists as well as youth companies, programmed to intrigue seasoned dance lovers as well as those new to experiencing dance.
Universally acclaimed as the world’s best Santana tribute, the band perform all your favourites from early hits such as ‘Jin-Go-Lo-Ba’, and ‘Black Magic Woman’ to Carlos Santana’s modern repertoire, including ‘Smooth’, ‘Corazón Espinado’, ‘Maria Maria’ and Santana’s 2016 hit, ‘Anywhere You Want To Go’.

Hector Gomez (yes, he’s Spanish) and Auriol Langbridge ensure the vocals (and the stage act) are up to the mark, while Paul ‘Murph’ Murphy is a powerhouse behind the percussion rig.
Backed by an incredible live band, as they perform hits from legends such as Tina Turner, Carole King, Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Cher, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and many more. With slick choreography, stunning vocal arrangements and dazzling costumes, it’s a night you won’t forget.
