Every Week You can recycle your cooked & uncooked food waste using the weekly collection service. This includes ďŹ sh skins, rice, coffee grounds, solid fat, peelings, dairy products, egg shells, bones, pizza crusts, tea bags, fruit pips & cores, bread & pasta and pet food. This is recycled to make electricity & compost.
To help keep your caddy clean, please use compostable liners or newspaper to contain your food waste.
Your small, silver kitchen caddy is for indoor use and the dark green, bucketsized caddy is for outdoor storage and collection by the crew. Please do not leave your silver caddy outside - it is designed for indoor use only.

On Recycling Week Your green wheelie bin is only for the recyclable items listed below.
No refuse, food, textiles or nappies.
Please remember, you can leave out as much recycling as you like. To help keep the borough clean, contain your extra recycling in a bag or a box.
Mixed paper & card including directories, junk mail, newspaper, cardboard packaging. Remember to remove any polystyrene and put it in your grey bin!
Plastic packaging including plastic bottles, yoghurt pots, punetts, meat trays & carrier bags.
Tins & cans. Fizzy drinks cans, food tins, pet food tins AND aluminium foil & aerosols.
Waxed & foil-lined cartons. For example UHT milk, juice, tomato juice, drinking yoghurt.
Glass bottles & jars. No Pyrex please!

...we also collect small electricals On your recycling week there is a separate collection service for batteries and small electrical items. Please do not put these items in your recycling bin.
The fortnightly batteries and small electricals service offers residents a more convenient way to recycle any small item with a plug or that uses batteries. Carrier bag Electrcial items must fit in a standard size carrier bag. Please place batteries in a separate bag. Clearly label Please label ‘electricals’ Collection day Leave your bag next to your recycling bin or food waste caddy.

On Refuse Week... As our recycling service is so comprehensive you should find that there is very little left to go in your grey bin. This is why your grey bin is slimmer than your recycling bin. To encourage recycling, any extra refuse left out will not be collected.
No DIY, garden or motoring waste Please take these types of waste to a Household Waste Site e.g. Wilton Road (Camberley) or Swift Lane (Bagshot).
No excess waste Crews have been instructed to only collect refuse from official Surrey Heath containers. Please take any extra refuse to a Household Waste Site or wait until your next refuse collection.

...we also collect shoes & textiles On your refuse week there is a separate collection service for your unwanted shoes & textiles. Please do not put textiles in your wheelie bin.
The fortnightly collection service offers an easy way to recycle textiles including; • Bags • Hats • Pillow cases • Belts • Clothes • Paired shoes • Sheets • Towels • Fabric off cuts nO duvets or pillows please. Carrier bag Place your textiles in a standard size carrier bag. Please tie the bag to keep the contents clean and dry. Clearly label Label the bag as ‘textiles’ so that it can be identified by the crew. Collection day Place the carrier bag next to your refuse bin or food caddy on your refuse collection day.

Items nOT to put in your bins There are a few types of items that should not be put into either your refuse or recycling bin. These items are unacceptable and some may damage the vehicle or leak onto the highway. Please take these items to your local Household Waste & Recycling Centre or arrange for alternative disposal. DIy waste e.g. timber, tiles, rubble & plasterboard Paint & varnish e.g. gloss, emulsion, laquer
