WELCOME TO THE S U R R E Y H E A T H S H OW Welcome to the eleventh Surrey Heath Show. This is an annual event that aims to offer something of interest to all the family. The Show consists of perennial favourites, such as the Companion Dog Show, miniature railway, inflatable amusements, children’s rides, classic cars, military vehicles, arena events and additional features that vary from year to year. Punch and Judy proved a popular addition last year so we have brought them back again this year. We also have new features in and around the arena that we think you will enjoy including the Bezerkaz Circus! Today also marks the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, to whom we offer our very best wishes for their life together. I’m sure many of you will resort to the wonders of modern technology to keep abreast of the day’s events. Those of you who have come by car will have noticed that the parking charge has increased to £5. This was necessitated by our need for a professional parking team. A lot of people are needed for this activity and, with that, comes an unavoidable cost. It remains the case that there will not be an entrance fee for the Show so anyone coming by public transport, by bicycle or on foot can still get in free of charge. In 2017, profit generated by the Show allowed us to distribute £10,000 to local community groups and charities. You can learn more about these grants on our website. As usual, the deadline for grant submissions will be mid September. If your organisation wishes to apply for one, please do so in good time. The Show’s organising committee consists of volunteers from around Surrey Heath, officers from Surrey Heath Borough Council and Voluntary Support North Surrey. If you would like to be involved with the Show, either as a committee member or helper on the day, please let us know. C O M PA N I O N D O G S H OW Organised by Next Chapter Animal Rescue, the Companion Dog Show is always a very popular part of the Show. There are separate competitions for pedigree and novelty classes, so there is no excuse for not having a go! Entries are taken from 11am. Judging starts at 12pm for pedigree classes and 12:30pm for novelty classes. There are rosettes and prizes for places 1-5 in all classes. Cost: ÂŁ3 per entry or 2 entries for ÂŁ5

Please note the show is held under Kennel Club rules and regulations. However, the above classes do not need to be registered with Kennel Club. No dog under 6 months is eligible for entry in the Show. Rosettes provided by Kay9 Training. Trophies for Class winners and medal for best in the show supported by Dignity Pet Crematorium.

WHAT’S ON Here’s just some of the fantastic things to look out for today! Miniature Railway Explore the park by taking a ride on the miniature railway! It operates from 10:30am-4pm and costs £1 per ticket for passengers over 3 years old. All fares will be donated to the Show.
Punch and Judy We’re pleased to welcome Professor Dill’s Punch and Judy Show. The puppet show is a riot of slapstick knockabout fun suitable for children and adults alike! Performances at 11am, 1pm and 3pm
Farnborough Concert Band of the Royal British Legion The band was formed in 1987 and consists of over 50 enthusiastic

musicians who enjoy performing and entertaining. The band performs at a wide variety of engagements throughout the year including traditional bandstands, concerts, charity events, remembrance parades and visits abroad. The band will be playing at 12pm, 1:15pm and 2:15pm.
Classic Car Show If you’re a motor enthusiast be sure to take a look at the classic car display which features a great selection of vehicles every year.

And if that wasn’t enough… There are refreshments available via the Show's own BBQ which are offering delicious burgers, hot dogs and bacon rolls. Keep the kids entertained at the coconut shy or with some of the fantastic children’s rides and inflatable madness. Surrey Fire and Rescue are here and it goes without saying there will be a fire engine or two! There will also be lots of stalls to browse from a wide range of charities, community groups and local businesses.
