POCKETS 1B Design Studio Type: Mixed-use Residential Site: Toronto, Ontario
The project focuses on resolving the issue of unused and small lots in the city of Toronto due to intensive high-rise construction. Pocket, is a mid rise residential complex with a public commercial space on the ground floor that seeks to readapt this space.

This pavilion acts as a place of repose. The steps allows light to enter the interior space and acts as a public bench. The curvature shape of the steps create a subtle movement for comfortable access.

FADE Ryterna Module Competition Type: Modular Student Dormitory Group: Omar Ferwati, Jinsu Park
Boundaries are often important in student dormitories to separate public and private space. Instead of creating a bold barrier between the public and the private, the project focuses in creating a subtle boundary between the two spaces in order for students to comfortably access the building.

Nestled between two parking lots, the project embraces the inward-facing nature of the site to create a dynamic pathway. The varying degree of habitation in the project reinforces the goal of creating an integrated community.
