IN MARCH 2009, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LAUNCHED THE PROGRAMME MINHA CASA, MINHA VIDA (PMCMV) PMCMV
PMCMV THE PROGRAMME WAS CREATED WITH THE OBJECTIVE: ESTIMULATE THE PRODUCCTION OF SOCIAL HOUSING IN LARGE SCALE; INCREASE LOW INCOME FAMILY´S ACCESS TO A PROPER HOME; ESTIMULATE ECONOMIC GROWTH BY INCREASING INVESTMENTS IN THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR; PROMOTE INCOME DISTRIBUTION AND SOCIAL INCLUSION; ESTIMULATE THE FORMAL MARKET IN THE PRODUCTION OF SOCIAL HOUSING.
