We offer services that other distributors typically have to outsource. That allows us to respond quicker. We also have access to hundreds of manufacturers. That gives us a variety of solutions to a particular issue versus relying on a lighting rep who only has access to the lines that they carry.

“Past performance is a big thing for me. Is it a customer that has proven to be loyal and trustworthy in the past? Sometimes there are customers who love the service but will ultimately purchase the material somewhere else. Also, is it someone that writes a lot of lighting business and we aren’t getting our fair share? In that case, maybe we can come in, show our service, and see if we can earn some of their business. Lastly, is it a customer that looks for retrofit, energy saving opportunities?”
