Increase Productivity Of Your People and Equipment
When the operator pushes the button, mechanical energy is transformed into electrical energy, which sends a one-time radio message to the receiver. The batteryless solution offers permanent availability, benefits the environment, and eliminates costly battery maintenance, re-charging, and recycling. As the wireless signals can be passed through doors, walls and floors, the operators can now enjoy greater freedom and mobility by remotely controlling machines at a distance of up to 25 meters in a factory environment. Additionally, customers can add external antenna to extend the coverage range and have more than one unit controlling the same equipment, i.e. many buttons can turn on/off a single receiver and vice versa, which becomes critical for industries where people and equipment constantly move around.
Get Up and Running with Easy-To -Use Application Packages Schneider Electric is the first to offer ready-to-use packages, with transmitter and receiver already paired, making it easy to order and use. The packages are composed of a 24 VDC non-programmble receiver with one relay output receiver or a 24-230 VAC/DC programmable receiver with two relay outputs. Furthermore, six LEDs at the front of the programmable receiver enable fast implementation by indicating power-on, device mode, or signal reception. Additional ZB4 and ZB5 transmitters are available as components. For PLC applications, the range also includes a programmable receiver with four PNP outputs. An external antenna (to enhance the signal transmission) and an ergonomics box for remote use are available as accessories.

GOODBYE T12 FLUORESCENT
DID YOU KNOW? The U.S. Department of energy has mandated that T12 fluorescent lamps be phased out of production on and after July 14th, 2012. As a result of this mandate, businesses will eventually replace their T12 lighting and ballasts. Businesses that delay their upgrades will likely face increased costs for replacement lights due to increasingly limited supply. HOW DO YOU PREPARE? Take advantage of rebates from power companies to offset the cost of upgrading to a new, more efficient T8 or T5 system. These rebates will only last for a limited time and will pay for a portion of your upgrade. WHY UPGRADE NOW? By upgrading to a new T8 or T5 system now, you could reduce your facility’s lighting cost by as much as 45 percent. Since lighting is a major part of any business’s energy bill, this could have a significant impact on your bottom line. In addition, new systems offer better light quality, longer life, lower maintenance costs, quieter operation and less unwanted heat. WHAT DO I DO NEXT? Contact your local Shealy or EDI location and ask about SEER, Shealy Energy Efficiency Resources. The SEER team has 3 LC (Lighting Certified) members, with the knowledge and resources to obtain the maximum rebates and quality lights for your facility. DISPOSE OF YOUR OLD LAMPS PROPERLY. SEER provides proper disposal of used lamps and ballasts in conjunction with both EPA and OSHA guidelines. Not recycling of used lamps and ballasts can result in fines. Don’t forget to ask about our Lamp and Ballast Recycling Program when upgrading your facility’s lighting system.

MERGER UPDATE
Shealy Electrical Wholesalers, Inc. is pleased to annouce that we have entered into a definitive merger agreement with Electrical Distributors, Inc. (EDI) effective January 2012.
EDI is a leading independent electrical distributor that has six locations in and around Charlotte, North Carolina. They have been supplying products for the construction market throughout North and South Carolina since 1954. The goal at EDI is to continually improve and to deliver exceptional experiences that exceed expectations. Shealy will support EDI in continuing to grow their vision as an independent entity, under the EDI brand and culture. In legal terminology, EDI will be a “wholly-owned subsidiary” of Shealy Electrical Wholesalers. After much deliberation, Shealy Electrical and EDI have both decided to be members of Affiliated Distributors moving forward in 2012. Joining forces with EDI will give Shealy the opportunity to leverage each other’s strengths and move even faster towards our long term vision. For Shealy, our vision will remain the same: provide professional distribution throughout the electrical industry. This merger will allow us to continue to do just that.
