Şebnem Tunçel MacDonald

Şebnem is an urban designer and a registered architect both in Victoria, Australia and Turkey. She was awarded her BArch Architecture from Turkey and her MArch UD from UCL, UK. She has 17 years of professional experience as an architect, urban designer, design leader and project leader spread between Turkey, UK and Australia. For the past 5 years Şebnem has been working as a project leader and team leader for large scale mixed-use developments in Melbourne and Perth. She has had a client-facing role, working on all stages of projects; feasibility studies, concept, schematic, detailed design, contract admin, site inspections and coordination of multi-disciplinary teams. She has been responsible for analysing the opportunities and constraints of the sites, authority requirements and stakeholder objectives. Şebnem has a particular interest in the overlap between architecture and urban design, focusing on the expectations and needs of the clients and various end user groups.
