from the desk of the executive director continued... can confidently embark on 2020, supporting the business community and making sure Sheboygan County is a great place to work, live and play. We are revving up for our 2020 Economic Outlook Breakfast and Annual Meeting on January 23rd and will be launching our annual Economic Outlook survey later this week. Please note, that we want to hear from you, all of you. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and join us on the 23rd to learn the results of the survey and also hear from our partners throughout the county as they highlight 2019 successes and what we can expect in our communities in 2020. We’re also excited to celebrate so many wonderful successes at the Chamber Champions Gala, February 20, 2020. Congratulations to all our nominee’s and thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a business or organization. As the holidays approach, remember the importance of shopping local. Yes, Small Business Saturday has passed, but I encourage all of you to make every day Small Business focused. These folks bring vibrancy to our communities. They’re our neighbors, our friends and sometimes even family members. Their kids go to school with your kids. They’re invested in our communities because they live here, they work here and they play here. Although it may be easy to click a button on your phone…I guarantee that if you spend some time out in the community, you will find treasures and experiences far more exciting. Shop Local this Holiday Season! Thank you for another successful year! Enjoy your friends and families this Holiday Season and many blessings for a Happy New Year!

With another successful year under our belt, we would like to give a huge thank you to all of our Coastal Young Professional Committee members who have dedicated their time and brought nothing but positive energy and great ideas to the table. We have grown as a committee and have thrived due to the hard work and dedication that was given by those on the committee. We look forward to seeing where else they go and how well they are going to do in the community and within themselves. Another thank you to those who have participated in events and choose to make the Coastal Young Professionals Network a part of their lives. Without you all, we would not be where we are today! As 2020 nears, the Coastal Young Professional Network is very excited to welcome new committee members, introduce new events and expanding the Young Professional organization. The mission of the Coastal Young professional network is to seek out and bring together emerging and potential leaders from various segments of the community for a continuing educational program. The program is designed to encourage, motivate and prepare participants to assume and pursue leadership roles in both their place of employment and in the Sheboygan County community. We are looking to add new members to the Young Professional Network, please send those interested to Molly Talaska at assist@sheboygan.org to learn more what Coastal Young Professional Network is all about!
