Dear Blue Rain, I can’t stop checking my ex’s social media status and updates. I wished I never sent him any of my selfies. Sincerely, Heartache Dear Heartache, When you stop obsessing over your ex’s social media, you know you’re over them. As far as selfies go, check your camera phone settings to make sure you’re location is off and in your apps connected like Instagram. Instagram added photo maps to their app, which means every photo taken adds a geo tag location to precisely where you are when taking the photo when connected to Wi-Fi or 3/4G. The photo map feature is optional and can be turned off in the app settings. Geo tagging allows cyber stalkers to find you like int the hit television sitcom “Eye Candy.” Stalking is a crime of power and control that includes: • Monitor phone calls, text messages, social media • Research your public records including address • Follow you and show up at your home, school and where ever you are • Follow geo-tagged photos • 1 in 4 victims report being stalked through social media. • 3 in 4 stalking victims are stalked by someone they know

#SELFIE

Remove your ex from your social media feed, unfriend and block them from all your accounts. Just as you’re following your ex’s social media, someone may be following/ stalking you. Sincerely, Blue Rain
