Kangaroo Works
Kangaroo Works on Trafalgar Street will be a large residential space with 364 modern apartments. This is one of the developments that will bring new community living into the city centre.

Burgess House & Laycock House
The Victorian heritage and appearance of these two buildings on Pinstone Street will be preserved whilst being developed into workspace and residential apartments as well as featuring ground floor retail and restaurant space.

Issac’s Building
Located next to Burgess House and Laycock House, and nearing completion, the Isaac's Building will offer more office and apartment space, as well as ground floor retail and restaurant units.

New hotel set to open
Overlooking the Peace Gardens on Pinstone Street, the new Radisson Blu hotel is a 154-room hotel featuring a rooftop bar.

Elshaw House
Elshaw House, close to Wellington Street, is said to be the city’s first net carbon-ready building, meaning it will contribute to the ambitions of a greener and more sustainable city centre. The building, which is nearing completion, will offer over 70,000 sq.ft. of office space.

Other regeneration underway
Fargate
£15.8m was awarded from the Government’s Future High Streets Fund.
Work includes landscaping and greening, a cultural events venue (Event Central) and a front door scheme to upgrade access improvements to several premises. Chapel Walk will also benefit.

John Lewis building
There are plans to breathe new life into the former John Lewis building (the original Cole Brothers’ store), with pop-up shops and cafes opening on the ground floor. Plans include a rooftop pocket park.

Castlegate
The remains of Sheffield's long-lost castle are set to be revealed in plans to create a new public riverside park on the old Castle site, home to the Castle Market until 2015.
Castlegate is the oldest part of Sheffield and has been inhabited since at least the 11th century.

West Bar
Bowmer + Kirkland is developing a £150m mixed use scheme at West Bar which includes 100,000 sq.ft. office, retail and leisure space and 368 build-to-rent apartments known as Soho Yard. Due for completion late 2024.
