If you are someone who is trying to determine and develop a working social media strategy for your small business then join us for a social media seminar on Thursday, April 3 from 11:30AM until 1:00PM at the Greater Shelby Chamber, 1301 County Services Drive, Pelham. The seminar is sponsored by Charter Business and will help business professionals evaluate social networking tools and how to develop a social media strategy that
works for you. The Chamber’s Small Business Work Group has invited Dr. Molly Wasko to present “What’s Your Strategy with Social Media” — how to develop a simple social media strategy to make the best of your resources while measuring your outcomes. Dr.
Molly Wasko is an Associate Professor and Chair for the Management, Information Systems and Quantitative Methods Department in the Collat School of Business at UAB. She holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland,
College Park, an MBA from Averett University and a BBA from James Madison University. Investment is $10 for Chamber members and $20 for future members and includes lunch from Texas Roadhouse, Pelham. Register online at www.shelbychamber. org or call the Chamber at 663-4542. Sponsored by:
How My Chamber Works for Me I ordered 250 books (from a non-member) to be printed for an event and the day of pick up was told the price had risen ... exponentially. The business wouldn’t honor the original price they had quoted me. Needing a rush order and to meet budget, I visited Office Depot. The manager asked me if I was a member of the Greater
Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and I told him yes. He then shared the exclusive member discount I would receive due to the partnership between the Chamber and Office Depot. I was delighted
when my books were printed on time and met my projected budget! I knew being a member with the Chamber offered networking opportunities but also learned the Chamber
forms partnerships to offer member-only discounts that save you time and money. This experience alone exceeded the return on my investment in the Greater Shelby Chamber! Crystal NeVille Founder High Noon STRESS BUSTER www.hnstressbuster.com Shelbychamber.org
