Shane Boatright of Boatright Companies Keynote Speaker for August Luncheon

Join us for the August membership luncheon as we welcome dynamic keynote speaker, Shane Boatright, President and CEO of Boatright Companies. Shane Boatright began his career as a railroad industry entrepreneur soon after graduating from the University of Alabama in 1989. One year later, he started what is now Boatright Vegetation Management, LLC, with one spray truck. The past 22 years have proved successful for Boatright as his business has developed into a rapidly expanding international conglomerate. Boatright Companies now include equipment sales, crosstie production, vegetation management and railcar repair, along with a shortline railroad in southeast Georgia, which transports ballistic missiles to Kings Bay naval base. Under Boatright’s leadership, Boatright Companies is one of the most well-known and trusted supply and service companies in the railroad industry.

2nd Annual Sporting Clay Shoot in November at Selwood Farm The Greater Shelby Chamber is planning its 2nd Annual Sporting Clay Shoot on November 2nd at Selwood Farm in Alpine. Selwood’s fully automated Sporting Clays course, both challenging and fun, meets the needs of all levels of shooters. Selwood’s comprehensive shooting facility includes a covered 5-stand for warm-up and training and a 100-target course. Their traps offer challenging targets for both the beginner and expert. We are calling all Sporting Clay enthusiasts, beginners and experts, to test your skills on the course, designed for pleasure and enjoyment in the great outdoors. Watch for details!
