“ ” THE QUESTION

What do you or your guests remember most from your wedding? We did our pictures before the wedding, and he was wearing white patent leather shoes! I almost passed out right there! We had a good laugh after he assured me he had the real shoes. -Kellie Thomas Box

We married just after the Auburn National Championship in 2011. I have pictures of my husband and I rolling Toomer’s corner and striking the Heisman pose.

Instead of tossing my bouquet to all the single ladies, I gave mine to the couple who was married the longest. The couple was married for 68 years!

My dad George Pierce got tripped up in my veil as he was turning to give me away. It flew out of my head, and everyone in the audience gasped then burst into laughter!

My husband is from a small town in Texas (Brenham) that just happens to be the home of Blue Bell Ice Cream, so we had a Blue Bell ice cream sundae bar.

The hundreds of crickets my brother put in our getaway car!

Ten years after getting married in Fairhope, every year on our anniversary, I get reminded by at least a few people how much they enjoyed the grilled oysters during our reception.
